Wait this is serious? An Affleck directed Batman movie could go down as the best batman movie of all time. He was great as the character and he is an awesome director.

I think it'll be great but I doubt they'll be better than TDK trilogy

Was the dark knight trilogy that great outside of the Joker?

I think it was yes. They weren't great Batman movies, but they were great movies IMO. Batman Begins is my favorite. Rises was decent. I really mean I don't think he'll make a movie that is looked at as on the level of those. The Dark Knight trilogy and movie in particular, is considered one of the better movies of the decade (not just superhero movie), so im just saying I don't think this will reach that level.

I think the two Batman movies before the trilogy is a big reason we think the trilogy is so great.

I've only seen Batman and Batman forever and I still think they're great.

EDIT: Not Forever, Returns, my bad.

Watch Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. Then you'll think the trilogy is the greatest piece of comic book cinema ever filmed.

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice

I think Nolan's Batman trilogy was fantastic. I can always watch them. Bale is Batman.

I have not seen Dawn Of Justice yet but I heard Affleck pulled it off nicely.

The last two Batman movies in the 90's were pure garbage (except Jim Carrey as the Riddler...I loved him). And watching Batman and Batman returns you can see how IMO they have not aged well at all. Nolan's trilogy smokes them by a country mile.

I was 8 years old when Superman The Movie came out. I went and saw that movie 5 times on the big screen inside of a month. I was blown away as a kid. Superman was my favorite super hero growing up. I had the mego doll, I always dressed as Superman for Halloween.....Superman II was also at the time for me awesome.

Superman III and IV was pure comedy. OMG man.

Superman Returns was such a huge let down. I can't even stomach that film.

I actually enjoyed Man Of Steel.

So if I enjoyed that.....will this movie ring with me?

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice

I left Man of Steel completely underwhelmed, probably because I was not a big Superman fan at all (his invincibility and the like), and I thought the combat was weak-sauce and relentless.

I still think the same things with all of that, but now I hold them all on a much lower priority than the rest of the film, and after having re-watched it, I appreciate it much more.

I find it better than Dawn of Justice for sure, but I'm willing to give it another crack when the extended edition comes out.

Saw this we my brother, cousin and niece and we all enjoyed it. Only thing I agreed with as far as some of the criticism was they could have left off some parts...don't think all of the dream sequences were needed, also didn't care for them combining Lucious and Alfred but that was minor. I liked the Christian Bale Batman trilogy, liked Man of Steel and looking to see what more DC can do with these characters.

I thought Ben Affleck was pretty good as Batman/Bruce Wayne, give me a rated R movie with Victor Zsasz as the villain and directed by Ben then I'm all in looking forward to it.

You will never ever see a Batman rated R movie...lol. Too much pull for young kids. Too much $$$$ lost.

To be fair, this really is a Batman movie. Like 70% of the movie is Batman. And there's an R-rated cut that we'll get to see in a few months or sooner if they release it in the theaters.

I loved this movie. I don't see the hate in it. I do think that there may have been some brainwashing by the critics. If they loved it, views of the people would have been different.
I like a dark and realistic tone. Man of Steel people complained that the city was destroyed and Superman should have fought in a field or space. In reality, Superman would have been waiting in that field while Zod says "Yeah I'll meet you there in a minute." and destroyed earth.Plus in Superman 2(1980), that city got tore up. No one complained.
This movie people complained about Batman Killing.
The whole Martha thing that got gripe, to me was Batman went mad after Robin dying and gave up his thou shall not kill ways and said ef it.
Then when he was going to kill Superman, he mentioned Martha, his mother, was in danger. Batman connected himself to the one who killed his parents. Batman turned into that killer and would do the same to Superman. It was a wake up call.
This movie is a part one of a string of stories. Bits and pieces coming together to be put together in later movies. That's what I like about it. Everything doesn't have to be explained right now.
I'm excited for the longer version on Blu ray.
The only thing I didn't like was Lex Luthor. I think Jesse Eisenberg thought he was playing The Joker. I wish they would have picked up a guy like Arnold Vosloo.
I love Marvel and DC movies equally. I'm all for watching superheroes. So I'm not biased to any side.
