I watched it today and thought, ok so the whole season meant nothing other than Lewis getting some balls, Rachael/Mike breakup. Couldn't they do this with 1 episode?

Yeah, I'm struggling to understand the purpose of the 1st 6 episodes if Mike is just gonna be back at the firm. Show is going in circles now.

You would have been content with Mike as an investment banker? What is Suits without the Harvey-Mike dynamic both personally and professionally? What is Suits with Mike being permanently exiled from Pearson Specter? The "Mike getting exposed" storyline isn't a crutch, it's a large part of the show. Being a fraud, being a fake lawyer is tough. You're not going to wish it away by switching job titles.

I thought this last episode was great (I won't see tonight's episode until later in the week). It sets up all kinds of office tensions, reinvigorated Mike and Rachel, forces Mike and Litt to work together and showed what a great friend Harvey is.

Just hope it gets renewed for season 5.

Still trying to figure out why you guys think that the INEVITABLE return of Mike to Pearson Specter created this "going around in circles" unless you didn't think it was inevitable. And it's not that much about Louis getting some balls as it is about how Mike gets back into the law firm against Jessica's wishes.

I'm really baffled why some of you enjoyed Mike from a distance as an investment banker. I guess it's because you didn't like the "exposed" angle but like I said before that's one of the main drivers of the series.

I liked the dynamics of Mike working somewhere else. Felt fresh.

Personally, I think the "will he get caught" angle has run its course. If they can't build an interesting show without it then maybe the show has run its course.

I also haven't seen the new episode so there's a good chance this post is dated.

I thought the Mike-Rachel reunion was a little quick but why drag it on? Mike was being a little unreasonable anyway.

I would like the show to create a little more drama hinging on the outcome of cases rather then whether someone will get put behind bars. I'm fine with a mixture of both but they need to go 80%-20% with the case factor.

Jessica's reaction was surprising when Mike firmly said, "This is where I belong". There was no disdain, it looked like total respect.

Can't lie, that last episode was damn good, minus the love triangle stuff.

I wouldn't mind them going back to the S1 case of the week format for a bit.

That's what I miss, is the weekly cases and the Mike-Harvey banter. My only fear of bringing Mike back in it opens the door for the "getting caught" storyline to be brought back. Just not a fan of that storyline. But I definitely agree we need a weekly case, instead of a long drawn out on going one. I am fine with that as week approach season finale, but not early and mid season.

I though it was great that the one person to bring Mike back hated his guts. It's not like Harvey did it. I'm kind of glad they brought it back full circle cause the whole company buying shares aspect was a little too complicated

While suspenseful, the ending wasn't very original. Good show, I just wish the writers would challenge themselves to go other places with the characters.
