My PC died and won't power back on, Is there any way to save the hard drive and transfer the info to a new PC? thanks

Re: Need help with dead computer

You can get one of these - http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Conver...rds=hdd+to+usb
Turns your HDD into an external HDD and you can transfer everything via USB.

If whatever PC you are transferring it to has USB 3.0 you can get this one instead - http://www.amazon.com/SABRENT-5-25-I...hdd+to+usb+3.0

Or if you are getting a full blown PC it will have space for an extra HDD and this won't be necessary.

Yes, if it's just the power supply or mother board that is the problem everything should be fine on the hard drive. You will just have to remove the hard drive and put it in a new computer provided it has the right cables.

Got the converter and it worked like a charm! Thanks for the suggestion!
