John Stamos trying to bring the band back together

Full House fans, this could be the news you've been waiting for: the oft-rumored onscreen reunion might just be happening after all.

The beloved '90s sitcom, now a mainstay on Nick at Nite, may be returning to television with some of the original cast, TVGuide.com reports.

John Stamos, who has an ownership stake in the show, according to the site, is championing the cause. Other stars – including Candace Cameron Bure (who has said she'd be up for a TV reunion), Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber are on board, and Bob Saget and Dave Coulier may also be involved – plus creator Jeff Franklin and executive producer Bob Boyett are a part of the project as well.

Stamos has teased the idea of a TV reunion, and cast members have reunited briefly for Jimmy Fallon and at Coulier's wedding.

"There was a lot of love that went into the show," Saget told PEOPLE in April. "All I have is love for the thing, not 'Oh, my God, I had to play that guy.' "

"The show worked," he added, "because it's on every night of the week right now."

With more to come? Stay tuned.
Not in this particular People Magazine blurb is the fact that Stamos and Co. are looking for a deal similar to the TV version of Anger Management and Partners with a 90 episode order and if the first 10 eps hit a certain number they'll continue on.

Here's stuff from another article that kind of shows how this might feasibly be a good idea:

But another comedy from ABC's family-friendly "TGIF" lineup, "Boy Meets World," was recently revived on Disney Channel as "Girl Meets World." Such a revival would make perfect sense given the timeless popularity of "Full House." According to Nick at Nite, repeats of the show in primetime average 1.5 million viewers, up 7 percent from last year. Episodes are also average a 0.4 rating in the key 18-49 demo, up 8 percent from a year ago. The show even has a healthy teen fan base, a demo that wasn't even born when the show ended.
I could certainly see this working if they're willing to turn the formula on its ear with self referential ironic humor but at the same time forging ahead with a modern take on what made the show work so well back in teh day.

While we're at it, what is Tim Allen and JTT up to these days?

My best bet would be either Disney or Nick.

Tim Allen has his own show on ABC(Last Man Standing) which is almost like Home Improvement except he has all daughters. And "JTT" has guest starred on that show a couple of times too(don't know if he's doing anything further on the show besides guest appearing or not)

I guess we're in a comeback era or something.

ABC Family also has Melissa and Joey(which is Sabrina the teenage witch + Blossom) and like mentioned, Girl Meets World on Disney.

So now they're possibly having Full House reboot too?

I was hoping for Jesse & the Rippers.

Not sure how a full series would work, but I've often thought a reunion special would be cool.

Like: Jesse's band hit the big time and he and Becks are living off the success; Becky left Wake Up San Fran to raise the boys.

Joey also hit it big with his comedy; he's now married and just finished a huge comedy tour.

Danny is now executive producer of WUSF and has other shows he's been doing. He also brought back Vicky and they're happily married.

All his daughters are now grown with kids of their own..

You get the idea. Sort of a "where are they now" type show.
                But a series? I dunno..

Seeing as how Full House remains one of my favorite shows, I'm down.

Was never that big of a fan. But I can see where it was good family viewing. I didn't realize this was a recent Super Bowl commercial either:
