Saw this last night with my brother and cousin and have to say it's IMO one of the best Denzel movies I've seen and one of the best characters he's played. BTW his character was SO bad ***...loved the way he was played, always in control and dangerous.

Also liked the character Teddy that played opposite of him, he was a bad *** also. There were so many quotes from the movie but one of my favorites

when he was talking to Teddy and told him "When you pray for rain you have to deal with the mud" and after he killed Slavi and his men after trying to buy Teris freedom for 9,800 "You sitting here dying cause of 9,800" Also the story about Teddy when he was young killing his adopted parents because he didn't want to be disappointed by them and having to live with that was nice. Only thing that I thought was off was when he blew up the boat and basically the whole yard and just walked off minutes and a few feet from getting blasted.

But the rest was so good I could easily over look that. I would love for this to be a character they do a few more movies about as long as Denzel is playing him. Definitely going into the movie collection when it's released and can't wait to see it again. Recommend it for sure

The final confrontation was anti-climatic. They gave us a 5 minute battle with a henchman #6, but a quick resolution to the big boss? That sucked.

Other than that, dope flick. I wouldn't turn it off if it came on TV.

Good movie, saw it with the girlfriend this past Wednesday. Denzel is a bad mofo. Would love to see this character vs. Liam's character from Taken. He was just insane, loved how he can dissect any situation and just rule it.


And completely agree about the ending scene. I actually thought that part ran a bit too long

I actually liked the way it ended simply because the big battle to the death where the hero comes out on top and is beat up has been done so much before, thought this was a little different. Plus I think it fit his character because he was saving the security guy who Teddy was about to shoot and kill and he got the drop on him and shot him with the nail gun. They had their moment while talking in the restaurant so thought it was good to just end it with no playing around

Could you all see this being a small franchise series?

I was surprised they wasted the Russian hunt on a 5 minute end of movie wrap up. That could have been an entire movie itself.
