    Re: Arrow Season 3

    Canary wasn't too bad today.

Anyone else think Arrow's return was a little anticlimactic? An arrow spotted, Canary chirping "Ollie", and then the lecture moment with Merlyn. Better in the Arrow Cave, but still lacking.

But Felicity slamming Ollie big time-that was good stuff.

I hope now that this whole Brick thing is done that Canary takes a break and starts training.

So its half way through the season now and this about the time where the big bad baddie of the season comes up. I wonder who it is? I read a rumor there will be another crossover so maybe someone from the Flash? What do you guys think?

Anyway, I'm glad Oliver is back so we can get the 2nd half going on a bang.

Really dug the last episode, Merlyn continues to be intriguing and things seemed to kick up it up a notch once Oliver came back to town

I like Merlyn, but I wish they didn't compromise his character so much by having him kill "Sara-Canary" with his own daughter. And Ollie saying "give her (Thea) a reason to forgive you"? First off Thea doesn't even know about her "in trance killing" of Sara Canary, and Ollie doesn't seem overly upset about it. Yeah, Ollie needs Merlyn for training him against Ra's al Ghul, but I'm surprised he seems poised to forgive the Bad Archer.

The writing for this season has been very questionable, but they're building up to an ATOM reveal and most likely a showdown with Ras in the finale, so I'm optimistic.

In other news, David Ramsey said that the producers have discussed the possibility of Diggle becoming John Stewart, the Green Lantern. Obviously he'd need his own spinoff if that were to happen, but I'd be on board.

I'm assuming the thought is she is eventually going to find out about killing Sara and the many other things Merlyn has done if she doesn't already know.

Before he "died" he was already having problems with who he was, I feel like being gone may only make it worse especially being what he's now up against. Leading to temporarily aligning himself with Malcolm.

I went from hating Laurel to loving her clumsy super hero role.

Laura-Canary was fantastic and the episode was flawless. (IMO)

Game-changing episode, because we finally have Thea in the fold. It's gonna be a treat how this all unfolds.

ALSO, thank **** the League's DJ is out of the picture. I hated the way that guy talked and the only thing that would've made his elimination better was if Malcolm gave him an arrow to the knee first.

I'm an episode behind, but man...the last couple episodes have been a pain to watch. Everything has become extremely cliche to me, from over-drama by Felicity and over-drama by Laurel. I am glad they brought Ollie back sooner, but still, I really hope the over-drama stops, and they can get back on track. I understand it has to be built up, but some of it has really felt more like Dawson's Creek than it has Arrow to me.

Just a rant, but I really still love this show - and hopefully with Ollie returning - things can be less "feelings" and more "action".

One last thing...the face off of Brick vs The Glades....really? Then Ollie's forced speech at the end to everyone...it was squeezed in there, and no real build up to his return. It's like the writers said "Oh, well, the viewer already knows Ollie is okay, so let's squeeze in his return with an arrow to some guy's chest and a inspirational speech. That should be about 30 seconds..."

Okay now my rant is [/rant].
