And did ya'll know that the next episode appears On Demand at midnight going into Saturday? I ended up watching it before it came on Starz Saturday night.
Nope, been sitting around waiting for the DVR to start recording Saturday nights like a jackass lol.

Shawn was a little too bold. Another example of a guy going crazy over a girl.

        Re: POWER

Shawn was just young, naive, and not built for the game. With Lobos under wraps where are they going to go for their connect? Even if Shawn did do Ghost they'd be in the same situation as Ghost is in, all the partners but no connect for that good dope. I can't lie, I was cheesing like Tommy when he got off.

I'll wait to see it but I think this statement says A LOT about this show... well done, Starz. Still amazed at how good this show is.

I'm sure there are "ways" of accomplishing that. Through proper channels though? No

                    POWER

Man I finally gave this show a shot but it's frustrating to get into when the main character is a simp. Boy do I miss Stringer Bell.

Compared to The Wire and Sopranos? Its really a unrealistic story imo. It does not compare to either. There are a lot of head scratching moments.

                      POWER

The show shouldn't be compared to either, but of course it will be because of drugs and clubs basically being the main pillars of the show.

Watched the season finale on demand and all I'll say is....ehhhh.

And Juke, Stringer had his "simp" moments as well although not as bad as Ghost but they both had the same goal in mind: Get out the game completely and become legit, when they knew that was not possible.

I was feeling the finale until the end. That last scene was predictable and tired. I knew they were going to pull that **** when he was walking away from the site. I'll wait until after it airs to delve any further but there was a few blagh moments.

I agree, if Tyler Perry made a crime drama it would be Power. It doesn't compare to those shows at all despite having similarities. Heck I don't even think it compares to Empire (which is another overhyped show) and with the way people compared the two and 50 cent calling them out about copying I would think they were identical.

No comparison at all but not just because those two series are just flat out better (which they were). It's a much lighter series... not meant to be as much of a parallel to real life. In that sense, I could see why it'd be compared to Empire but it's nothing like that either. It's more "really entertaining" and well done than award winning.

HUGE stretch there. Perry's movies and shows are predictable and all follow the same structure... no chance he could spit out something like this, not even talking about it being good or not (which it wouldn't be). There's a place for TP's "art" so I don't want to completely crap on him, but regardless of what you expected from Power, it deserves better than being attached to anything with his name on it.

I was feeling the finale until they teased 50 living, like really? Cmon man, he was stabbed, doused in gasoline and set on fire, and he broke out of a locked room? everything else was pretty good. Interested to see where season 3 picks up at, and how the heck Tommy gets out of this.

On that thought, I also didn't think Tommy and Ghost clash at the end made sense. This chick talked to the feds, and tommy forgives her for that cause ghost made her leave, and he parts with ghost over it with guns drawn? i was like wtf?
