Maybe it's just me, but I felt like the last few episodes just dragged on.

Not complaining or anything and I'll definitely be watching next season as usual, but just something about this season was a little "different", if that makes sense.

I'm disappointed in the ending. I don't know what to say about that situation. Kanan looks like he's getting soft though. Could Tariq be the son he never had?

Yeah..That reaction makes no sense to me given Kanan's M.O. He has iced his own blood and just killed an old lady after helping her with her groceries. I see no reason based on their interactions why he would all of a sudden be reluctant. It's a stretch imo. Plus Tariq just hanging out and traveling with this dude he barely knows --This bond feels a little rushed to me.
