    Re: Jigsaw (2017)

Didn't want to start a new thread but I am in the mood for something like these movies. I think I saw the first 2 and that's it. Any reason to watch in order or I can just pick a random one to watch?

Contrary to outside belief, the connected story grows larger the deeper you go into the franchise. So watching it in order is absolutely necessary.

That being said, if you're going to try and watch Jigsaw, I'd argue only the first film is recommended, the first three are encouraged, and the final four are optional (though I really like Saw VI).

Thanks. Maybe I'll check out part 3 tonight. Don't think I watched more than first 2. Although not totally sure

Well then going back to that "connected story," what you might want to do is refresh yourself with the first two to ensure that you remember as much as you can, just because the later films tend to pay a lot of service to the previous films.

I'm not saying you have to watch the first two again, but if you want to illicit a discussion about them or you want me to summarize anything, let me know. I'm sure YouTube probably has some form of wrap-up beats for each film as well.

I'm guessing you'll watch the films on Netflix, in which case you're lucky they have the theatrical versions on there. The only film whose Unrated version is better IMO is the first film. The other ones have questionable editing decisions made in their Unrated cuts, not just more gore.

I actually had no idea Netflix had them available. I could have swore I looked and didn't see them. I was about to rent them on Google Movies. Checked after your post and yep all on there. Thanks!
