That was twisted.

The Nina scenes were dull, and Noah Emmerich's outstanding work aside, his brilliant scene lead him to yet another grueling encounter with his wife (ex-wife?). Beeman ignores his wife in bed and in life for months, and then he runs to her after a near death experience? And he'd forget about wifey in a second if Nina dropped in town. Stan looked a little pathetic.Comment

He's a pathetic man. And Emmerich plays it well.
Suitcase scene was pretty heinous. Other than that, not much doing.Comment

The only answering machine messages more awkward than the one Stan left were the ones Jon Favreau's character left in Swingers.
This might have been my least favorite episode. Just felt like not much happened.Comment

Didn't know where else to post this... but I just watched the pilot episode for the first time... WOW
I would have to say that "The Americans" pilot is episodes is one of the greatest I've ever seen. It was intense, fun, dramatic, suspenseful, it covered everything.
I can tell I am going to love this show. The wife and I will be binge watching the first 2 seasons over the President's Day Holiday weekend.

Re: The Americans - Season 3 (premieres 1/28)
I've been wondering how it compares to the new show (on NBC I think) that looks VERY similar. I think it's hard to tell anyone who's been watching The Americans that a new show can match it, which is part of the reason I haven't even tried the new show (and can't even remember it's name). But from someone just hopping in, if you're interested in the other show too, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

The final scene of last night's episode was even more intense than either the "suitcase" or "home dentistry" scenes.Comment

I'm quite disturbed by this whole storyline. It's highly uncomfortable, lol.Comment
