You can get it all with Amazon Prime. The first 2 seasons are free.

Most recent episode was pretty good and then in the last 3 min they turned that **** to 11 man. This show. I'm actually looking forward to binge watching this on Amazon next year instead of the week to week wait. Some shows I don't mind but the wait on this one is killer each time. Ugh.

I felt that 2 of the previous 3 episodes were really good. The one before last seemed to be stretching some things out and killing time...the whole Melba subplot thing, for example. I also really hope that Mao only has 2 daughters that matter. lol. Such a painstaking process of 'daddy issues' character development whenever a new one appears.

I'm about to finish reading Caliban's War (the 2nd James S.A. Corey book in the series) and it is interesting to see how certain characters were written compared to how they were cast on the show. Thomas Jane as Miller, Dominique Tipper and Naomi, Frankie Adams and Bobbie, and Florence Faivre as Julie are probably the most consistent between the book and the show. There are a lot of differences with some of the other characters.

It's also interesting to see how they moved the timeline around to get all of the characters in a little bit sooner. The entire 1st book is entirely about Miller's search and Holden's crew, but the show weaves Avasarala and Bobbie in much earlier than that. The Ganymede situation and Havelock's character are also much different although the show is pretty faithful to the novels for the most part.

Darn, I was hoping they blew her up sooner than that. lol

Also, as I read book 3 it's really dawning on me how different the book/show are on which OPA members are highlighted on the Behemoth (Drummer isn't even in book 3; Bull is a main focus of book 3). I can't really blame the show for streamlining some of the minor characters here.

I feel like the show's decision to simplify/remove some characters really took the punch out of the most recent episode. Cara Gee's "Drummer" character has basically absorbed both the Bull and Sam characters from the books. Combine that with the decision to cast David Strathairn as Ashford and then totally reprogram his character from a wimp to a wizened badass stripped all the mutiny/counter-mutiny intrigue from the plot. It could've been a lot better of an episode if Drummer and Ashford weren't stuck up against a machine for half of the running time.

What a great finale that was. Really felt they stayed pretty true to the books on this one. They wrapped the season up quite nicely and I felt like you got all the answers you needed up to this point. Next season can't get here soon enough. Thank God Amazon saved this series. I still can't believe that the show got canceled. It's mind-boggling. This is one of the best sci-fi shows I've seen in ages. I really hope with it now being on Amazon that it gets a much bigger following. Also getting the entire season all at once for some serious binge watching is going to be epic. This is definitely in my top 3 shows currently. Just can't say enough. As far as the books go I'm on book 7. It's been a while since I read my last one so I need to do some recaps on what exactly is going on. There is just so much information in this universe. Anyways just super stoked on how the season finished up. It was a great ride.

I'm in the process of re-watching the entire 3rd season before I pass judgment on the finale, but my early impression is they closed out the season strong.

Also, I'm about halfway through book 5 (Nemesis Games) and the real Drummer just finally showed up. Stoked about that for some reason. The TV show Drummer is a hot gumbo of Sam, Bull, Drummer, Pa.

Ya she is. As I was watching the finale (and I had just refreshed my memories on Abaddon's Gate)thats all I could think too. Drummer was basically taking the role of Bull, Sam, and Pa. Man I wish they would have done Sam. I really enjoyed that character in the books. It's funny to because I just assumed Drummer was Sam for the longest time until I actually paid attention to her name lol.
