The Fantastic Four (2015)

I like the dark tone from this trailer and it already looks better than the garbage from the mid 2000's. It has a talented young cast so hopefully they can make up for the original one. Being honest, kinda underwhelmed by the trailer but lets hope the next trailer can show some more of the powers.

Actually this isn't Marvel backed. In fact the head of Marvel pretty much threw a hissy fit and the comic book is being cancelled for an unspecified period of time. Marvel has been on record as not willing to help FOX at all with marketing.

I do wonder if FOX will somehow connect this to the X-Men universe. If they hit it off with Fant4stic, they've actually got a lot material to mine from the comics of either franchise.

Yeah it will be, that was the intention of rebooting so that they can share the same universe along with the new Deadpool movie.

Do you guys get an Interstellar feeling from the trailer? Obviously not the same movie but kind of the same tone and a little of sci-fi horror. If they go that route, I think it has a chance to be great.

No...don't get an Interstellar feel at all, nor a dark feel. The shot of The Thing at least makes him look bigger than Michael Chiklis. And I assume Sue and Johnny are going to be explained as half-sibs. Not feeling Miles Teller as Reed (too young) ....though it's been a heck of a year for that young actor.

Sue is the adopted daughter of Johnnys dad who will be in the movie as a scientist. I'm assuming the guy who was doing the voice over

This latest trailer has me a bit more interested, but the casting overall I think is really against them. The transformations were somewhat an extension of their characteristics and personality attributes, especially Grimm and Johnny. Jamie Bell is what, 5' 6", maybe? Reed Richards is commonly portrayed as somewhat older and more refined. Miles Teller doesn't seem to fit that role. And this whole step-brother/step-sister thing is going to work with younger generations, but not those of us who grew up on the FF. This is going to have to have one helluva storyline to be good. It also seems as if there are 5 pods in this trailer. Are we to assume they're going to throw Doom into the mix as having taken the trip and been transformed as well, changing up the origin story? Guess we'll see.

It basically resembles the Ultimate FF storyline. If you like that, then you'll probably like this movie.
