If the 4Chan spoilers I read are true I'm going to be highly disappointed with the route this show took this season...

I haven't read them but I'm not sure how accurate anything outside of the first 5 episodes would be as that is what was leaked. Same thing happened with the final season of the wire. The first 5 episodes were leaked online. The rest would be kept close. Not sure anyone at HBO would be willing to risk their job over releasing them.

But in this day and age who knows.

How, exactly, did Jon Snow get a bit of vengeance? His enemies at Castle Black weren't his father's enemies at King's Landing.

Janos Slynt actually was his father's enemy at King's Landing. He was the head of the gold cloaks and betrayed and arrested Ned when he confronted Cersei about who would be the next king.

Gotcha. I must've forgotten everyone involved in that situation.

Edit: Now I remember: Tyrion sent him to Castle Black after he became the RHotK.

Damn...it's starting to get interesting all over the place. Going to be hard to read The Winds of Winter.

I'll first say that I don't read any of the spoilers here or anywhere else because I don't read the books.

That being said, I noticed something in last week's episode which I haven't seen mentioned...

I can't keep every name straight, but the assassin who Arya is now training with, the one who gave her the coin after helping her at Casterly Rock, said something about there being "only one God." It made me think of the guy she learned swordsmanship from back with her dad in King's Landing. He said something like "there's only one God, and his name is death." For some reason I made a connection there.

I could be way off, because I know Stannis' fire goddess lady has mentioned "one God" having something to do with light, but I found it interesting regardless.

The book readers have now reached the "I have no clue what's happening" stage.

This show is now on a completely different path from the books. Hell, there are probably 4-5 characters that died on HBO who still live in the books.

Cersi is still playing the "game of thrones" so well. She sends Mace Tyrell to Bravos with Meryn Trent. With Mace away from Kings Landing she (arms) lets the Faith take Loras prisoner, and will probably have Meryn murder Mace while they are in Bravos.

Can't help but feel like the conversation that Jamie and Bronn had about dying means the end for one of them. (Given that we are off the source material it could be one or both.)

Starting to get excited about what the show runners are doing now that they can leave the books to GRRM and just story tell.

This episode may have had the most information of any episode so far as to there the ending may be headed. I could be totally offbase but......

I looked at the clock when the credits rolled and it was 8:52 (I have an atomic clock). I feel like 5 extra minutes of showtime was stolen from me. GoT is easily the fastest hour on television.
