I don't think Drogon was in mortal danger, he was hit with 3 or 4 spears and most where in the neck back area non near viatal organs and those spears were not very long (or designed for dragons) so I would assume most were superficial wounds.

I'll start by saying it was a very entertaining episode. Like many others, I'm done with Stannis now. I actually liked him for a while there and even more after his talk with his daughter. Now that's gone.

I was extremely worried for a second at the end that Dany and the rest were going to die (I mean it's the end of the season coming up, it's just a GoT thing to incorporate a devastating killing scene). I did't like the scene with the dragon though. Like someone else said, the masked people just came 1 at a time before the dragon arrived, and the dragon didn't really do THAT much besides intimidate. And the flying scene looked strange to me.

      Still pretty crazy though.

To me it looked like the dragon was clearly in danger, in fact it looked like he was about to go down on one occasion. Given that hand thrown spears punctured his hide, it sure looks like a coordinated attack of long bows could easily take him out and if not for the element od surprise, I think the dragons could be dealt with fairly easily it would appear.

We'll have to see how the series portrays the dragons in the future but they are much weaker than I had hoped after seeing this last scene.

          She.....she rode the D!

          Get it? Anyone?

Anyway, that was one conflicting episode. Extreme sadness at Shireen; I actually welled up, especially when she started looking for her father and mother. It's nice to know Selyse has a heart for her daughter, but she damn well knows that came too late. As for Stannis...man...I can't call you StannistheMannis anymore. Correcting people's grammar and your deadpan humour is cool and all, but if you really cared for your daughter's safety while still looking for a way to win, you would've sent her with Stannis. Dude just made Tywin look like a lovely father in comparison to not actually killing Tyrion.

On Drogon, let's not forget that he's nowhere near a fully grown dragon. Considering he's been out there in the wild and feeding, I don't even think he's halfway as big as Balerion was during Aegon's conquest of Westeros. So yes, he did get hurt by spears, but that should become less of a problem down the road.

It was entertaining but cheesy - you can tell that it had a "show" twist to it and was not something GRRM had written. There was one point where Dany is standing there staring at Drogon and you can see Harpies in the background throwing spears at her and Drogon. No idea where those spears landed lol.

Between this and Barristan getting killed the show runners have really done a disservice to Mereen. Not as bad as Dorne and the Sand Snakes but it's pretty cheesy and not inline with the rest of the GOT universe.

Drogon was about to get wrecked. That baby dragon was in over its head. Ran away like a little biatch too.

What bothered me most about the episode is that the Unsullied soldiers are supposed to be the **** and they keep getting their asses kicked by these Harpies. Tyrion did a better job than they did.

The US struggled with insurgents in Iraq for years. Doesn't make our armed services any less formidable.

I wasn't like all 8,000 were there. Not to mention their order was to protect Dany not engage the Harpy and spred themselves to thin.

Iraq war veteran. We ain't struggle with ish! The ROE was the only reason those cowards lived long enough to pull a trigger.

Anyway, I'm still in shocked with Stannis - that was the dirtiest thing since the Red Wedding for me. I kinda blurred through the rest of the show because I was still caught in that moment - they should of put the cheesy dragon stuff before that and ended it with Stannis.

Did people really not see Shireen's death coming? I knew she was a goner as soon as they had their father/daughter moment at the beginning of the season. I was surprised it took this long actually.
