This season felt like season 3 of Lost. The Sand Snakes and the whole Dorne fiasco feel like a completely unnecessary filler story like the Nikki Paulo storyline from lost.

Whoever is directing the scenes in the North, gets an A. Whoever is directing the Southern scenes gets a D-. It has to be different directors. The acting and fighting sequences in the North are very solid. Everything in the south/desert climates screams cheese, outside of Tyrion of course, he always brings it.
Well in defense of the Dorne storyline is was even worse in the books. But there must be an important component there otherwise they probably would have left it out.

Sent from my Galaxy s4 so deal with the short hand

If not, then I'm sure they will make a point of stating that next season just to avoid looking like they screwed up.

If she got it they'd find out that dragon fire can cure it or something and that she's one of few that can survive the cure.

Everything about that last scene screamed cheese. She flies away on the dragon to escape the horde of harpies, yet the dwarf, Jorah and Daario are left behind. If the next espisode doesn't start with those 3 being completely overrun by Harpies, then we have another issue.

In a preview clip, apparently they are just sitting there in the arena alone. I guess the harpies weren't scared off by getting burned alive but looks like they became petrified when Danaerys did her Hiccup impression. If I was those 3, I would say screw this bitch for leaving us high and dry. I'm going to join Tommen, the worst he can do is just cry in his room.

The funniest part is Danerys holds the hand of that other chick, whatever her name is (to be honest, I can't keep track of some of these names, they all sound alike) as if to indicate we're all gonna die together. Then seconds later the dragon shows up and she's like "let go of my hand girl because this **** is way too intense, adios", and leaves her to fend for herself.

The writing/directing in the North = A, In the south D-. It's atrocious. Do they have different directors in each location?

I'm pretty sure she flew away to save Drogon. A few more spears and he would have been dead. Better to save your dragon who is a big factor in helping you claim the throne.

Sounds like if she put you on the squad, she would have made a terrible mistake. Dany's life (and her dragon) is exponentially more important than theirs. They are serving her. If they dedicated their lives to her and she died right there, what would have been the point?

Jorah, Fabio, sir geezer who died earlier in the season, the unsullied have offered their lives in combat protecting her. If anything maybe Tyrion would have qualms with it but considering the orgasm face he had when he saw her dragons, I think even he realizes who and what Dany is in the grand scheme of this world.

TLDR Dany's life >>>>>> the goon squad's life and they should know and accept it to be part of her inner council. We're talking about their queen man.

Should she make it to Westeros with her Dragons, Dany will rule the seven kingdoms. Tyrion will enherit Casterly Rock, Jorah will get Bear Island back and a pardon, Dario IDK will be her stud....These people aren't leaving her side....

This is what Drogon could grow to be, no little spears will be killing that in the future.

Yet when Joffrey hightailed it out of there during the battle of Blackwater, he was chastised for it by Tyrion and others.

I just think it was done shoddily overall. They made Drogon look weak by letting the Harpys get the better of him in a matter of minutes. We've been waiting 5 years for this moment and he should have flew in there and burned all of them alive in 30 seconds to show how bad *** he is. That would have been an entrance. If Drogon is too young to take out a few guys with spears then they are quite some time away from taking King's Landing. I think they showed him succumbing to spears just so they can shoehorn in a Never Ending Story clip.

Not sure that is a like for like comparison. King dressed and armed for battle, Queen unarmed and under a surprise attack.

Also...also....apparently that's how it happened in the books.

And yeah, they're trying to save/protect the queen. Her staying there is counter to their main objective and while she can fly around and toast the Harpies, I don't think that should be expected of her during her FIRST time riding a dragon.

                                You are correct sir,

Idk if it's because I read the books and knew mostly what was coming, but I really didn't think much of the last scene. I'm surprised at the amount of flak it's getting. Like dragons don't exist how the heck can people be like "this is nuts, spears shouldn't injure a dragon"

Like with anythung else, it's a show, it's telling a story, not documenting actual events. I mean 50 years ago they'd have a wooden dragon and the audience would have to pretend it's flying.
