Everybody knows Superman's strength doesn't come from how big his muscles are, but it doesn't make him look any less silly when the guy looks a bit small wearing the suit.

Case in point, Christopher Reeve. Not as muscular as Cavill Superman or the comics, but he looks great in his suit.

You are correct to me Christopher Reeve is and always will be Superman I also thought Brandon Routh, Gerard Christopher (Superboy TV series) and Dean Cain looked well in the suit. It wasn't being muscular as much as just being the character himself.

In a ten week weight training regimen, including four meals a day Reeve gained 33 pounds of muscle. I still find it hard to believe he raised his bench press record from 40 pounds to 320, only because I can't believe a young, healthy man could be that weak.

He might have gained 33 pounds in that time, might, but not 33 pounds of muscle, that is physiologically impossible, even on roids. Also I find it practically impossible that a 25 year old, 6-4 185 pound, American male, even if they've never worked out ever, could not even bench the weight bar itself.

This is just one of those Hollywood legend building stories.

I heard these rumors almost immediately after the switch to CW was announced. I think it will hurt the show.

Extremely disappointing to hear...the dynamic/tension she had with Kara was a really good offset to the fighting of Supergirl.

On the flip side, I hope the writers mitigate it with a heavier presence of Lord, who needs to be involved more.

So apparently Superman is gonna be shorter than Jimmy Olsen and Green Arrow. Some pics he looks great for this role and others there's a lot left to be desired.

I hate the suit. Looks glaringly like it's homemade.

Short Supes, crappy costume, but if his characterization and chemistry with the cast is good, then those others things won't bother me that much.

The actor just needs to do either of these two: a) Get on that salmon ladder because Oliver ****ing Queen looks a heckuva lot bigger or b) get that suit tailor-made because it just doesn't accentuate his body at all. Looking like a damn cosplayer instead of the real thing -- and I've seen people in cosplay look more like the real thing.

Also, that belt is too high.
