Re: Supergirl (CW)
Doubt he returns.
Also, some interesting non story related moments :
Kara was like "don't grab women" to that security guy(technically in this case he was right to stop her) when she was trying to barge in on the gala. Kind of a surprising line given accusations about what went on behind the cameras. Though oddly enough, don't think I saw the producer guys name in the credits this episode. Might this be the starting point from when he got fired?
Also, twitter having fun with Kara picking out the 1 world killer based on what Winn showed because she "just knows". Can't talk about why that line is kind of funny/poor choice of words(TOS reasons) , but go on twitter if you can to find out. Though the reason I'm having fun with it is for this perfectly timed gif

Speaking of internet having fun, I'm sure the Kara-Lena stuff in this episode is sure to do just that. Especially the flying part and the dream.Last edited by Majingir; 01-30-2018, 01:31 PM.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
I've never seen Smallville, but in small way maybe good I didn't so the shows today seem more special.
The Lena VS Kara story is one that'll have to happen one day and it'll be huge, but I just hope that day isn't anytime soon.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
As much as I love Katie McGrath as Lena on the show, personally I would rather see Lena die before she becomes a villain. The best story is not always the most obvious one. I hope the writers can be better than that.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
For me, her dying would be a single moment. Sure it'd probably have long term impact(though mopey Kara has been dragged out too much with the mon el stuff) , but a Lena VS Kara story would be a full season at least. Maybe on a Barry VS thawne, Oliver VS Malcolm level of a feud.
Or they could simply give fans what they want and make "SuperCorp" a thing. Not to extent that people have been literally been drawing up online, but she could be Kara's #1 like a Diggle or Cisco.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
Yeah, the writers have hinted at that and I will be disappointed if they go there.
I don't want a full season of that. You can show her Luthor side with the inherent flaws, but don't go the extreme. Supergirl and Lena is too good of a relationship to waste on what the writers think will be an epic battle. For me, her dying would be a single moment. You said it. I hope they get more subtle and don't do the obvious, particularly when they practically announced it.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
Not exactly a huge mid-midseason finale or anything, but at least the worldkillers stuff is progressing quite abit, and secrets slowly being uncovered. Just wonder where the Sam stuff is heading because Alex tried helping her but got nowhere, and now Lena seems to think she might know what's going on. The Mon-El stuff is dragging on too much now. Do all CW shows have to have the main character in a relationship that takes over the whole show? Of the "big 3" Superheroes on the shows, I think Kara is the one who is least in need of being in a relationship. I mean if their goal is to have a strong independent female lead character, would having her just ending back up in an old relationship really do any of this?
Last week you could tell it's starting to be diff direction the show headed, but this one seemed to be different filming period too because to me, some characters looked slightly diff.Last edited by Majingir; 02-05-2018, 11:47 PM.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
I'm currently just watching Supergirl and Flash, but I don't see that the flimsy Kara-Mon-Imra triangle or Barry-Iris is taking over either of those shows. Now last season Barry and Iris were unbearable together and worse yet their screen time together seemed to have doubled.
I'm stating the obvious but you can be a strong independent woman and be in a serious relationship. I just don't like Mon-el and Kara together, but the upcoming reveal by wife Imra could free him up.
Plenty of time to ponder the "real" mission of the Legion and other things as we get a nine-week break.
Lena was great as usual even when her Irish accent slipped through a bit when she was consoling Ruby.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
Iris is basically the leader of team Flash now (and really doesn't seem like she's good friends with anyone on the team minus Barry, as seen in that "girls night out" episode) and her whole "WE are The Flash" stuff has become a fairly popular meme online. Arrow has basically turned fans against each other with the Oliver-Felicity relationship(fans either love it or hate it,and hate the fans on opposing side as they are). And with the Legion, to me it seems like most of their interactions has to reference the past relationship. Seems like every other scene with Mon-El and Kara is him basically mentioning how hard it must be for her to have him back. Even the Alex-Maggie stuff is being dragged on abit too much, seeming like Alex isn't gonna ever let go and if anything bad happens, she just reverts back to wanting Maggie there and/or using that as a reason for her actions.I'm currently just watching Supergirl and Flash, but I don't see that the flimsy Kara-Mon-Imra triangle or Barry-Iris is taking over either of those shows. Now last season Barry and Iris were unbearable together and worse yet their screen time together seemed to have doubled.
My point though is that it seems like she'll be relying too much on Mon-El again instead of just going out there and doing her thing. And then the non Supergirl scenes might just be more of this relationship drama instead of better things like her S1-2 friendship with Winn/James(who seem to have been forgotten in this show) and S2-3 BFF scenes with Lena.
I don't mind them together too much, just as long as it's not forced or dominating the show.Last edited by Majingir; 02-06-2018, 10:52 AM.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
Bottom line if she wanted Maggie that much she would have accepted the "no children" situation. I'm a little tired of "offscreen Maggie" at this point and wish they would move on.
I think she is more of a "weak team guider" than anything else but she is one-tenth as irritating as she was last year snuggling up with Barry as they share sweet nothings both constantly in fear of her future death. My point is nobody had problems with her last year when she was the absolute focal point of a dreadful season?Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
Thank You!!!! Same here!!! Go away with that b.s. already and move on!!! Even when she's not on the show, that annoying relationship is overlapping other things.Comment

I think people actually liked Barry-Iris stuff in S3. She actually was a good character up to S3(though I find S1-2 Iris to be way better), but S4 she just gets abit too much.I think she is more of a "weak team guider" than anything else but she is one-tenth as irritating as she was last year snuggling up with Barry as they share sweet nothings both constantly in fear of her future death. So many people seem to want Maggie to return though which is what I think maybe the show wants to leave door open to? She was never supposed to leave, but the actress playing her wanted to do other stuff. I don't mind that though because I never really liked Maggie so much. It would be nice though if we could have the tough/serious Alex Danvers NOT just get broken down by anything that could remind her of Maggie.Comment

Re: Supergirl (CW)
She didn't have to much emotion over dating men early on in the show, don't know why the dating a female and then breaking up with one, is lingering every damn episode. It's annoying and they just want to keep reminding us she's a lesbian. I mean so what, we still love her! Move along and stop making it such a big part of every script.I think people actually liked Barry-Iris stuff in S3. Re: Supergirl (CW)
S1 could probably be ignored slightly because of it being on diff network. I don't care about if they do Alex relationship stuff, as long as it's not annoying. Like when they just obviously had to have Alex-Sara in that crossover, it was expected and funny at same time (especially Mick at the end of all that). She didn't have to much emotion over dating men early on in the show, don't know why the dating a female and then breaking up with one, is lingering every damn episode. Just hope they don't make Alex get over Maggie by becoming Rubys mom, then I think they'd be going off things completely (adding a kid into the life of a main character often doesn't go well on tv shows)Comment
