You're referring to Cane. There's nothing to be afraid of. That's not scary, at all. I've seen worse.

The clown is in it, so it may be a go. My friend had HBO when we were little. Yeah, watching either Halloween, Poltergeist, or Conan the Barbarian every day for an entire month during the summer. Good Times, Good Times. Can't believe parents were cool leaving 8 year old kids unsupervised for basically an entre summer.

This is a bad idea man. If Hollywood wants to remake a film choose a bad one and make it better. Why screw with a classic..? I guess there is no room in Hollywood for original ideas as they are all used up. Hope they can pull it off..

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I think it's mostly hype. How will you improve on what was considered a somewhat groundbreaking film? I agree with your idea.

Most remakes come & go then are forgotten. Even if the film is fine I never would rewatch it multiple times like I do the originals. I don't hate all remakes as John Carpenters The Thing is a great example of improving on the original.

Largely apples and oranges. The original 50's "The Thing" was not a reflection of the true storyline as Carpenter's was. The 50's film was said to be more of a propaganda piece reflecting the Cold War tension. The ending line of "keep watching the skies" was supposedly a thinly veiled message to the American people, or so I've heard. I actually like the 50's version from the standpoint of the way they worked the interaction between the actors... much more natural... people talking over each other, etc. Something about it. Plus, it has that classic horror monster feel.

If you're asking me, no. Because it's not original at all. Plus, the older I've become I've developed little to no interest in the horror genre. Although actually, once horror started taking the graphic route in Friday the 13th, I was turned off from it. And generally, the stories are unimaginative. Poltergeist was one of the few to come along (Alien being another) who brought in a bit of a mind blowing aspect to the story, but I don't believe an ounce of what it purports... and I know that some people do.

The projected box office take is about $55 Million.

You must be joking. Actually I must be joking. If you thought that was a PERSONAL attack, then you have no idea what that means.

But I can tell you're spirited about this.
