I'm just wondering why Rodney voted for him. Will was a waste of time on the show.

I really hoped he made it to the final 3, just to hear him answer questions. He would probably say he played a great social game, but yet everyone really hates him.Comment

Re: Survivor 30 (15th anniversary): Worlds Apart
Just wanted to go over my pre-season cast assessment:
SpoilerCarolyn-Slightly reminds me of Missy from last year, but smarter and more about family. And she likes Sandra(a contestant I didn't like)
Dan-Seems like he'll be an outcast on the season.
Hali-Smart and athletic, but don't know if she'll adjust on Survivor, maybe be a floater?
Jenn-Just seems like she's someone who's just happy to be on the show
Joaquin-Sounds like he MIGHT be good, but feel like he might just rub people the wrong way and get himself voted out cause of it
Joe-Might end up like Alec/Drew of last year. Seems like he has lots of potential, but doesn't do alot at camp or in challenges
Kelly-Just seems like a floater(and has a real short bio on the survivor site)
Lindsey-A hairdresser named Lindsey who has lots of tatoos...didn't we just have this? Hope she's better than the last one.
Max-I think he could be one of the faves of the season. Someone who really knows the game of Survivor.
Mike-I could see him going past the merge, but don't think he'll have a standout gameplay.
Nina-Can see her just being judged for her age or something(only 51,but that's old in Survivor age).
Rodney-Somewhat similar to Joaquin. Feel like he could have lots of potential in the game, but might just rub people the wrong way eventually.
Shirin-Smart and successful, but don't know if she's cut out for Survivor.
Sierra-More fit for Survivor than people will probably give her credit for,but feel like she'll end up like Jefra from last year
So-Somehow, I feel like she could be (best scenario) mix between Parv-Brenda
Tyler-Smart guy who could float his way far into the game
Vince-Similar to Joe. Could have lots of potential but all depends on how much he actually does at camp.
Will-Nothing stands out alot for him, though his fave contestant is Earl,so I like him slightly for that.
After re-reading it, my thoughts on comparing what I thought and what happened with the people:
Carolyn really wasn't what I expected(both good and bad ways)
Dan in a way I guess was an outcast, especially early on,and was at the bottom in the "strong alliance".
Hali basically was just a floater
Jenn as I predicted, was someone just happy to be on the show(and once the happiness was gone, she didn't care about game anymore)
Joaquin I guess rubbed people the wrong way cause of his alliance with Rodney?
Joe, I was wrong with this,I compared him to Alec/Drew of last year, but he ended up more like Malcolm
Kelly was another person basically just a floater
Lindsey wasn't relevant either
Max didn't end up where I thought he would. Had he lasted longer,I think he might have been somewhat of a fan fave,he was one of producers faves since he was on the 2nd chance poll, might have been voted back, had he lasted longer this season
Mike, lol I said he won't have a standout gameplay, and he ends up being the ONLY person who had standout gameplay. Though first few episodes I didn't think he was gonna be good, especially when he eats a scorpion right away, and sounds like "People Power John Laurinaitis"
Nina, wasn't judged by her age,but put herself down alot
Rodney definitely rubbed people the wrong way
Shirin was more cut out for survivor than I thought, but not social game wise
Sierra was actually worse than Jefra lol
So, really thought she was gonna be a good gameplayer and she ended up 1st one out...
Tyler did basically float his way fairly far into the game
Vince should've made it further, but cause no collar had no common sense, they vote out someone who'd help at challenges in tribal and individual part of game
Will, I was right, nothing stands out about himComment

Re: Survivor 30 (15th anniversary): Worlds Apart
I don't think I've ever hated someone on any reality show more than I hated Rodney. Not only was he stupid and delusional, but his insane sense of entitlement and complete lack of ability in every single challenge. I seriously would've written this show off if he went to the final 3. I hate the set up where it benefits someone to be so bad. Will shouldn't have been there either, but at least he didn't act like he was the greatest player out there. I would've liked to hear Will's speech at the end though. I'm curious if he would've tried to push himself or use the time to push either Mike or Carolyn bc he had to know he wasn't winning.Comment

Re: Survivor 30 (15th anniversary): Worlds Apart
Forgot to mention it before but, yesterday was the 15th anniversary of the 1st episode of Survivor! I watched the 1st season last summer(for first time since I saw it 15 years ago) and it's crazy to see how far the game has come. Season 1 where alliances were unheard of(and the ONLY alliance in the entire game is what lead to the final 4), the background music for the most part wasn't that great at all, challenge were fairly generic.
It wasn't entertaining compared to todays standards, but certainly interesting cause it went more in depth on the Survivor lifestyle and everything, and scenes you won't see today cause people already know about certain things(like the walk/hike to tribal, how people deal with weather conditions/downtime and so on).
Gonna watch S8(All Stars) starting next week and continue it once a week all summer! Will be a nice lead in to the September returnees season.Comment
