As sad as it is that it has come to this, Adam Sandler being in it tempers expectations. Kevin James doesn't help. Trailer doesn't look bad, but not great either. Looks like a decent movie to watch once.

I saw a lot of people giving the trailer **** for being like the Futurama episode, which it does share some really close details of the premise, the actual trailer didn't remind me of that episode at all.

Just saw this tonight with the GF. We both really enjoyed it. Not that it's a great movie, but it was dumb enough to be funny and enjoyable without being so dumb that it's just bad

I saw it like 2 weeks ago. Like I said in the what movies have you seen lately thread, this probably mostly makes an interesting movie the most to people who played games in the 80s.

I wasn't mad when I left, but who'd go to a movie like this trying to be deep anyway? You shouldn't, just watch Sandler and enjoy.... matinee though IMO

Then again I only think blockbusters are worth a bunch of time and money lol.

Well said. I'm only 21 so i never played those games in an arcade, though I did recognize all of them at least.

One thing I noticed is all the kids in the theatre seemed to really enjoy it, for anyone wondering

I was surprised. I kind of liked it. Wasn't nearly as bad as the reviews.

Enjoyed it a lot. Great summer movie for kids, kind of a blockbuster aimed at them but with adults who are or were gamers in mind. Was a lot of fun.
