I thought I'd try the update again with your suggestion,but this time I got a notice stating that win10 isn't compatible with my video card.

They released a 'Game Ready' driver for the launch, but they've had working drivers for months on Windows 10. My only hiccup was when I picked up a 980ti and failed to properly mod the existing drivers and ended up just waiting for the official ones that were released a month or so ago for it.Comment

I went to nvidias site and downloaded the win 10 drivers,then when they ran the compatibilty test before installing it wouldn't pass...so not sure what's up.
As I mentioned though,it's really no big deal as my PC works fine with win 8.1 and it seems the wife like it better anyway..

I'm one of the few that like 8 as well. But technology changes frequently.
Just waiting to see if there are things that need working out before i decide to jump on as the same thing that happened with 8 when it first releasedComment

It didn't for me, and the Catalyst Control Center still wanted to download a Win 8.1 driver even after the upgrade. Even though my 8.1 drivers still seemed to be working fine after the upgrade, I still wanted to get the Win 10 drivers ASAP.

And either let the auto-detect find the right driver or use the dropdowns to enter the needed info yourself.
Make sure you know if your system is 32 or 64 bit. That and the OS are pretty much the only differences in the installers.
No matter which one you choose, the most recent Catalyst driver is 15.20.1062.1002 and the suite itself is 15.7.1.Comment

I'm such an idiot....I was looking at the wrong spot to update my drivers
. I currently having it working properly but with win 8 drivers...so I don't think I'm going to mess with anything else as of now.

I really like Edge a lot, it's super fast and it seems to load faster than Chrome does. It needs add-on support ASAP though because I've been browsing with adblock plus for years now.Comment

I'm gonna go ahead and make the jump from Windows 7 to 10 on all of my laptops at home tonight.
Since many of you have made the free jump already, any pointers/hints/tips you could possibly throw my way prior to doing this?
