Something About One Of Your Favorite TV Shows That You Didn't Like

I figured it could be an interesting thread.

I'll start with my all time favorite comedy, The Honeymooners. For as great as a lot of scenes were, I really disliked the casting for Trixie. I'm sure she was a nice lady, but she really overacted. Maybe it was the writing for her. I can remember one good line she had in all of the classic 39 episodes when the boys were gonna teach the girls a lesson by getting drunk in Ralph's apt. While temporarily away the girls subbed grape juice for the wine and when Trixie was asked by Alice if Norton would notice, she replys (something like), "oh no, he gets tipsy just reading the label."

That Friday Night Lights only lasted 5 seasons. And that the movie (based on the show) never came to fruition.

Naked and Afraid - Most of the contestants on that show have no idea how to actually survive in the wilderness, yet they all claim to be professional survivor experts. I dont think any one episode of this show has featured a pair who thrived all the way through it. Its basically the "can these people survive morbid starvation for 21 days?" show.

Hated Moira Kelly in West Wing. Thankfully she went away.

Yeah, but that was her job. Really just an accent or accessory for Ed Norton.

On a side note I thought Sheila MacRae did a good job playing Alice on The Jackie Gleason Show version of The Honeymooners. Audrey Meadows was number one though.

Yeah, only saw two seasons (recently) of The West Wing and she was grating.

Honestly, I'm not sure if I like it or don't like it.

I think Kurt Sutter started doing it on purpose.

              Just Season One.. haha.

Shelly Long's Cheers departure after five seasons. The next six seasons were still very good, but I thought they could have done better than Rebecca Howe as a co-lead character. No knock against Kirstie Alley, who just did her job. I would not have been adverse to them somehow fitting hot politician Janet (Kate Mulgrew) into the show.

I wasn't crazy about the overpraising of Rhea Perlman for her portrayal of Carla. She was a nice part of the supporting machine, but three Emmy wins in a row?

Perlman was the female Louie from TAXI that everyone still wanted. It was a unique role for a female to fill at the time.

The original DALLAS: The cliche answer is the revelation that Bobby's death was all a dream but in reality that was an interesting season (though it felt way too much like DYNASTY for everyone) and the season after was one of the stronger seasons. No, the thing that killed the momentum of the show was when some of the leads starting leaving and Larry Hagman/Len Katzman started turning it into a comedy show. The writing of JR was putrid but could've been redeemed based on rumors I heard. (They weren't sure if the show was coming back the next season but there were rumors that if it did JR would finish up on top and they'd call it a wrap) Either way, the dumbing down and jokey nature of the last 3 or so seasons was wretched for longtime fans to watch.

Major Anthony Nelson. I couldn't understand how in the early days he rejected her and to top it off, she was a Jeannie. I admit it, it upset me.

Yeah, JR would have jumped on that right after she got off the bus.
