Yeah so when "Slater" is alone in the car with Swede-Tyrell, that was supposed to be Elliot?

That's the confusing part, because at the same time Elliott was in the building.
I don't think Slater was interacting with the other guys, he was just talking to Eliott.

Also, who is Elliott talking to when he's narrating. We assume its us the audience, but could be something else we don't see.

It could be the audience, someone else who he is telling the story in past tense, or which I'm thinking is more likely he is talking to himself (the version that is sane or can tell real from made up and is like the rest of the people). He said talking to "us" that he wishes he could be like "us" and see the world like "us" and then at the cemetery he says "you" already know when realizing Mr Robot isn't real.

Elliot is telling us the story. So we see things as Elliot sees them. You cannot trust what you see, hear, etc to be real. It appears that Elliot slides into the background and Mr Robot personality takes over. Elliot sees him as another person and watches/interacts as we would with Mr Robot, but those only take place in Elliot's head.

For the van, that was from Elliot's view, he was telling himself what to do. Mr Robot couldn't logically be in the facility with him, his brain couldn't rationalize that, so he was in the van and talking to him.



Yes, which I think the secrete is the hacking and maybe drug use.

As per that, it is hard to determine who/what is really happening. As his world made up reality is crushed, will be interesting to see if he recedes further or if he comes back to reality. Could also be only part of his reality is shattered and he is still not totally out ... getting feelings his sister may not be real. That ballet class was out of no where and now they are somewhat close?

Yeah, Darlene could be imaginary, but I don't find the ballet class and her closeness with Angela to be any indicator of that. We have to take all conversations with a grain of salt, but it's been established in a few scenes that Angela has known Elliot and Darlene since they were all young kids and use to play with them in at their house. Elliot was closer to Angela then he was to Darlene, but there still a bond between all three. A and D are not BFF's and their relationship is probably always a bit strained, but I think there is honest affection their based off of their shared experiences growing up together.

It's like well, yeah, that was obvious, I mean yes, she acted like she knew him from the start, similar to the girl who was killed, but he acted like he didn't know her from the minute we met her, now all of a sudden she gets to the point?


I'm like trying to decide if they (the writers) are like doing things that don't make sense and just saying like regardless of what happened here we are now, or if I look back was it all there the whole time?

In this article Carly Chaikin(who plays Darlene) talks about knowing from the beginning that she's his sister and playing their scenes together like it's their normal bro/sis interaction without even the slightest thought that Elliot has forgotten who she is. We the viewer know that he is very far removed from reality, but those around him don't realize how bad he really is. Especially since he still is able to get **** done.

Gotta say I am a little disappointed that Mr. Robot is not real. However my idea about Tyrell not being a villain towards Elliot but a man simply antagonizing under his on convictions was spot on guess you win some to lose some.

Man the father son dynamic could have been an awesome thing to work off of going into season 2, But I guess season 2 will be centered around how Elliot and Tyrell "work together" so once again you win some to lose some! LOL
