Exactly. We loved the first one because it was MJ and we were kids. I'll still watch it when it comes on because it's MJ and it reminds me of being a kid.

This movie will be enjoyed, again by kids, because it's Lebron. Plus, they aren't doing a remake, which is typically what people bitch about, so no one/nothing is being replaced here. It'll be a fun, stupid, cheesey family movie with big names that is sort of about basketball.... just like the original was.

Ah remembering the original one certainly brings back the memories. That was a movie that is very near and dear to my childhood. I will definitely see the new one but it will never top the original.

One thing is for sure - they will never top that original soundtrack.
Space Jam was it's own original movie.. that has appeal

Copy catting is like the lazy way now.... and this one just feels cheap

Maybe if LeBron did his own original movie.

MJ had the whole thing with Bugs.

He did commercials with shoes and such, it wasn't just because we were kids, and it didn't hurt that Looney Tunes were popular period.

Just wondering, do kids nowadays even like or know Bugs Bunny and the rest of the looney toons? Most of the kids I know are into the new stuff like Pixar and other 3d stuff.

Yeah, I just don't see this being good at all, and that's not even just because of my massive hate for Lebron.

It just seems...pointless. The Looney Tunes are not that popular (or even known at all by kids anymore? I don't know).

I feel like "Lebron Explores With Dora" or "Lebron and Bob Build ****" would be more up with the times.

If kids don't know who Bugs Bunny is I would chalk that up to bad parenting.

I'm sure they know, but are looney tunes even on tv anymore? Movies? Toys in stores? I honestly don't know but all of my friends kids and nieces and nephews play with toys and watch stuff that has nothing to do with them.

They could also use this to bring some more popularity back to the Looney Tunes. Kids are gonna go see this because of LeBron James. If I had to take a guess, Looney Tunes weren't massively popular in 1997 and kids went to go see it because it was Michael Jordan in a movie.

I know they air on CN and Boomerang. They did a new show a couple years ago, but I don't know if that's still on or not.

Still, a lot of the golden year serials have been released on DVD and blu-ray. I would put my kids in front of a TV set with Wile E Coyote and Road Runner as opposed to Dora, Peppa Pig, or Paw Patrol.

I know the 90s had Tiny Toons, but I wouldn't say it was a forceful juggernaut because of that and a couple movies. The only toys I remember are Happy Meal stuff.

But if The Muppets can make a resurgence I don't see why Bugs can't enjoy one either.

Looney Tunes(mainly Bugs Bunny)were still very popular when the original released. If you were growing up back then and you didn't know who Bugs Bunny was, you had to been living in a box.

Yeah they used to do a Roadrunner and Wile E Coyote event on the Super Bowl on Cartoon Network.
