This. THE apex example of hype over substance. Absolutely nothing to recommend it in any way, shape, or form. A 1-trick pony who doesn't even do 1 trick...
To paraphrase a Chris Rock joke, everyone gave that movie credit for being made for $30,000....well, where the ^&*# did the money go? Someone's walking around with $29,000 in their pocket...
These are the worst movies I have ever seen in my lifetime.
The Man of Steel
First Knight
Drive
Titanic
Spider Man 3
I walked out of every one of these movies. First Knight was a date movie as well. Waited for her across the street at a bar, she loved the movie. Took her home and never called her again.

My heart and soul hurt for your lost presence in my life.

We're talking about the WORSE movie ever, and even though I liked this more than you guys (didn't love it but got where they were going) I think I can set bias aside and say it can't possibly be the worse movie ever... because of The Blair Witch Project 2!
I'm sure you haven't seen it so I guess the 1st one can still apply to your list, but the 2nd was more like a regular, fictional horror flick, on the heels of the first one and with about the same budget.
As a matter of fact, yes, that's definitely on my short list of worse movies I've seen. I may be the only one who even thought to watch it.

If this is a true story - and I have no reason to believe it isn't - that is the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life. She must not have been all that if you weren't willing to tough it out just for the sake of the date...but honestly, having that story was probably worth it anyway.

I had absolutely no idea there was a Blair Witch 2. That is simply unbelievable to me. I'll defer to your sound reasoning, though, and sight unseen say that Blair Witch 2 must be the worst movie ever made.
That movie must've been suppressed in my mind but now that you mention it. That is indeed one of the worst i've seen too. My GF and I at the time watched it and could only stand a half hour of it before we bailed.

Yes it is but that doesn't make it any less of an atrocious oddity.

Superman III with Richard Pryor. A lot of politics coming into play, including Hackman refusing to reprise his Lex Luthor role and Margo Kidder being (Lois Lane) reduced to a cameo. Both criticized the Salkinds' treatment of director Richard Donner in the previous "Supermans". Hackman bailed out, and Luthor did not appear in SM III. The producers denied Kidder was punished for her public remarks but only received 5 minutes of screen time.
I think the worst part of the Blair Witch Project was I honestly got a massive headache and motion sickness from trying to watch it and the camera constantly shaking. Never had that problem before or after seeing that movie, but I remember wanting to puke most of the way through it. Also, the ending was pretty bad, too and then that second was even more awful. Somehow the first one got an 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, but the second chimed in at 13%.
I don't know which movie is probably the worst I've ever seen because I've probably seen more than my fair of them. Adam Sandler's Parenthood is probably near the top, but Spider Man 3 or Batman & Robin are probably the two movies that disappointed me the most.
Battlefield Earth was crap. American Wedding was terrible. And any Adam Sandler movie from the year 2000 on (with the exception of The Longest Yard, which I actually liked) was awful.
