So I have Time Warner cable and I just subscribed to Showtime so I can watch Season 4 of Homeland. So when I go to on demand to watch it, it doesn't fit the whole screen. It has black all around it. Is this normal for Showtime on demand?

Sounds like it's coming in as a SD (Standard Definition) signal
If HD isn't available, go into your cable box video settings and put the settings into STRETCH Mode.
This will give you a letterbox mode for SD Signals

It says its in 1080i on the front of my box. I was thinking the same thing till I checked that. So I'm not sure what the heck the deal is.
EDIT: I feel like a *******. If you press the right arrow on the remote in the on demand menu it takes you to Showtime on demand HD. So I did that now I am getting full screen.
