Dunkirk Christopher Nolan Project (July 21, 2017)

Announced a couple of days ago, but I just noticed on Rotten Tomatoes. It's also shown on IMDb. Warner Bros will be producing it, and Nolan will helm the directorial duties and also possibly be involved in the screenplay (something I almost care more about for him). That being said, it's definitely not Bond haha.

I've done my speculation bits before, so I'll just play a wait-and-see game. I'd like to see him work a child as a main actor at some point, but I doubt that will be the story behind a summer blockbuster that's not some space sci-fi or superhero flick. Speaking of which, Ben Affleck is supposed to be writing and directing the upcoming standalone Batman film, but maybe he'll give up the directing to Nolan so he can focus more on his other project. I'm hoping it's something original though and not that.

Loved Interstellar, though I can acknowledge many of its flaws all the same. I'm glad Nolan is running out a flick every 2-3 years regularly.

Can a mod change the date in the title to July 21, 2017? I must have written the 17 for the day from the year by accident.

There is actually some talk going around that there's going to be a Godzilla vs. King Kong flick in the works though I doubt it's that project.

Unless it's a licensed property, it will have to blow me away. Interstellar was so bad that he's lost my faith of seeing a movie because of his name alone.

Ouch. I loved Interstellar (though I will admittedly say I have a bias toward Nolan, that only comes to whether I choose to watch the movie or not, not whether I choose to like the movie or not).

              I loved Interstellar, too.

Between that, Inception, and Memento I have faith in whatever original property comes from Nolan.

There are rumors he will be doing a Akira live-action trilogy, though.

Loved Inception. Loved most of other Nolan stuff. Interstellar was just such a massive let down.

I think The Prestige is still my favorite from him.

I'll see basically anything he puts out.

I loved Interstellar as well. Let's all pile on EG now and make him feel terrible about it....

Seriously though, Nolan's name attached to an unannounced project definitely has me anticipating something awesome.

I loved interstellar way better then inception. Inception was boring and to confusing had no idea what was going on. These are the movies of his I have seen and how I would rank them.

                      1. Dark knight rises
                      2. Batman begins
                      3. Interstellar
                      4. Dark knight
                      5. Inception

                            Yup, for me it goes:

                            1) Inception
                            2) Dark Knight Trilogy (2A TDK, 2B BB, 2C TDKR)
                            3) The Prestige
                            4) Memento
                            5) Interstellar

I think The Prestige is Nolan's best work (nearly a flawless craft), but it's not my favorite of his. In fact, as far as technical production goes I would rank his "best" differently than I would rank my "favorites" in general.

Best to worst (and none are bad):

                              1) The Prestige
                              2) Batman Begins
                              3) Memento
                              4) Insomnia
                              5) Interstellar
                              6) Inception
                              7) The Dark Knight
                              8) The Dark Knight Rises
                              9) Following

Favorite to least (and I love them all):

                              1) Inception
                              2) The Dark Knight Rises
                              3) The Dark Knight
                              4) Interstellar
                              5) The Prestige
                              6) Memento
                              7) Batman Begins
                              8) Insomnia
                              9) Following

A lot of these on the favorites list are pretty much interchangeable though if you think about it.
