Oliver was shielding her the entire time. And seemed like he didn't exactly drive off too far from where they were being attacked from. So maybe it is a plan of his, have her fake her own death(similar to when he plotted her kidnapping by Slade so he could track Slade down), so Damien stops bothering with her. Send her to CC with Flash for now.

Cause even a few scenes before with Lance, really made it seem like he was the one who died. Saying he'd do absolutely anything to protect Laurel,and now he's shown Damien which side he's on, so that seems like something which would lead to Lance sacrificing himself to save Laurel after Damien tries getting revenge on Lance.

Agree on both counts.

The timeline of the show clearly reveals that its not her. The beginning of the season stated that the funeral scene was 6 months later. If you listen closely during the episode Felicity mentions its only been 3 months. Lance's speech felt like a foreshadowing bat beating the viewer in the head.

So what was with all the corn he was growing? I don't get what that was about.

I think they have used the algae from the bay to synthesize the corn. Just a way of administering the undetectable toxin in a non aerosol form that they can control and is a mass distribution method.

Damn that was good! In terms of impact, I think Arrow gets the better of The Flash with the mid-season finale episodes.

Malcolm continuing his appearing out of nowhere is hilarious. Seriously love this guy as the pseudo-ally/pseudo-villain. Laurel shined pretty well in this episode and for once in what seems like forever, her Canary Cry was used effectively. Dahrk's look at Thea during the abduction definitely has me thinking he's got a sniff of her as Red Arrow/Speedy.

As for the end, well, NOPE NOPE NOPE. Great drama though and it should test this more optimistic Oliver/Green Arrow and his crusade for a better way compared to Arrow's darker methods.

How exctly did Felicity get shot up when

1 Ollie was covering her

2 even if it after he got up HE never got hit either by sitting still or moving

I haven't re-watched the scene but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a bullet hole pop up in her abdomen. Right after Oliver gets up to go to the driver scene there's a puncture wound and blood.

My gut reaction on the underground corn thing was that he was going to level the city and form an underground city. Seems stupid and leveling the city was already Merlyn's plot so I doubt it happens. It's just what popped in my head in the moment.

I haven't re-watched the scene but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a bullet hole pop up in her abdomen. Right after Oliver gets up to go to the driver scene there's a puncture wound and blood.

I rewatched that moment a bunch of times, ya, she does get hit.

Which is what im saying.. so they riddle the car with automaic machine guns, AK's or whatever they were, and the bullets just magically don't touch Oliver at all, but then one magically hits her as soon as he moves?

Not that they thought it through and its anything other than a plot hole but when he hit the divider and exposed the bottom of the car a bullet would have an easier time puncturing the floor and upholstery than the sheet metal doors.

Bigger question for me is why is someone that has devoted their lives to fighting crime, running for mayor, just had their friends abducted and in a gas chamber and recently off the heels of multiple personal death threats and attempts riding in an unarmored limo with their new fiance that he has now made target #1 for bad guys.

Darhk doesn't have the resources to neutralize an armored vehicle? If the evil one's strategy was taking on an armored limo "Olicity" are both dead.

My medium sized complaint is the Ollie for mayor stuff. I'm not crazy about it, and I never liked Ollie NOT as a billionaire.

EDIT: My wording wasn't very good. I like the Ollie character, but I don't understand why they had to neuter him financially.

Yeah, but it's a different dynamic, and her wealth is really a handoff from Ray. It's no major deal, just don't know why they went there.

I'm not sure what his financial state was when he dropped from billionaire status.
