Low MS Gaming TV on a Budget

Looking to buy a 40-50'' TV that is good for gaming but does not break the bank. The TV can have crap sound as long as the picture and latency is good - I have my own home theater audio system.

I really want to keep it under $650 if possible.

Very possible, TV's are cheap nowadays that aren't 4K or curved. You can get a basic 40 inch 1080p 60HZ tv for $250 or a 120HZ version same size for $400 at Best Buy.

I got a 50 in insignia (the Best Buy in house brand) and I love it. Was like 350 or so. Not alot of bells and whistles but my surround sound handles the noise and it just takes care of the picture. I really like it.

Yep I got a great deal a couple of years ago. I think I got a 30 something inch Toshiba from Best buy for around $100. To put in my basement and it has worked perfectly so far.

Most modern tv's have a gaming mode, just put it on there. Now if you weren't stuck on 40 inches, then your best bet would be buying a PC gaming monitor. You will never find a tv with as low MS as a PC gaming monitor.

I use the above to game now. $649. Don't notice any lag. Get about a 95 inch image where I have it setup currently

Have a PJ in my bedroom. Haven't measure but I'm guessing it is around 90- 100 inches. I use the PJ for movies and have a 40 inch TV for watching tv shows on netflix, hulu, amazon prime and KODI.

I'd wait to see what is available black friday. 1080p sets will be cheap, since the big push is 4K.

IMO, NEXT year's black friday will be the best time to jump into 4K.

Looks like we might not have to wait until next year for good black Friday 4K deals..
