The official 2015 Black Friday/Cyber Monday Thread

November is here and so is the biggest shopping day(s) of the year. Mods, can we post links to "leaked" ads once they start coming out?

Are you braving the crowds or shopping online or both? What's on the wishlist?

Looking for a middle-tier laptop (nothing flashy) and a 32 inch tv for my loft. Would love to snag a 60 to 65 inch set for the den, but it would have to be online and shipped (no vehicle to transport).

My brother is now an assistant manager at a local Walmart, so hopefully I now have an inside man.

I'm hoping to snag a 4KTV on a good deal.

Extra 4K TVs are always a nice addition.

I'll be traveling on Black Friday this year so I won't be able to shop too much except maybe on Thursday night. I'm not really in the market for anything in particular. Maybe if the Uncharted Collection or TellTale's TWD Series on PS4 went on sale. Other than that a Kinect. I'm good on TV's at the moment since I just bought a Vizio 4k this summer, but maybe I would upgrade my manroom tv if the right deal came along.

I'm looking for a 65+" TV, 4k preferably but if they're unreasonable, I'll wait or just grab a 1080p set.

How do you like the Vizio 4K? My first HDTV was a Vizio and it was good for a year or so, but then it had a bunch of issues with the motherboard in the TV that ended up costing as much to fix it as it was to buy it.

I've only had it a couple of months, but so far so good. I haven't watched anything in 4k yet, but everything still looks much better than my plasma and LCD's. Movies look great, sports looks great and the video games that I've played on it (mainly just Halo MC Collection and Batman: Arkham Knight) have looked great. Honestly, I don't have any complaints and would recommend it. Hopefully I don't have any issue like you had because I didn't get any kind of extended warranty or anything.

No big items this year. I barely made "Elite" Best Buy status last year so I'll have early access to their deals. I'll likely stock up on movies and video games. With GCU newer games should be about $24 if deals are similar to last year.

I'm not banking on it, but Star Wars on Blu Ray on sale would be nice.

I don't bother with trying to get any door busters at Best Buy stores. The line is insanely long and checking out takes forever.

Hoping Walmart sticks to their "1 hr" guarantee on most of their door busters. You knew exactly what time you had to be there by. The only issue was actually finding the right line (no logic used as to where things are put and absolutely no one knows anything to point you in the right direction)

Can you let me know how that early access thing works when they present it, or is there an e-mail/link where I can find it?

They should start their advertising blitz a few days or week before.

You have to be logged into an Elite or Elite Plus account for the prices to lower. I think the past couple years it's opened up on Monday. I also seem to remember stuff selling out, but being available again on Thursday for general public.

They had some of the crazy $99 TV deals on the site.
