Then first please see Rise and Dawn before seeing this one. They are incredibly relevant to the overall story arc.

I'm not the biggest fan of Rise (first half is fine, second half not for me, also didn't like the CGI), but Dawn was fantastic, despite the fact it was a little cliched Hollywood format.

I'll likely be seeing War on Monday.

Just got back from the movie and while I like it I think I am kind of disappointed in the movie over all. I felt like the first 1/3 and the last 3erd of the movie was great but I felt like the 2/3 of the movie just dragged and not much happened during that time. I think I liked dawn better.

Was good, not great. I ended up spending so much time thinking about parallels of this movie and real life in this country.

          Fantastic.

An experience as someone else said. Truly a remarkable trilogy and now firmly one of the all time great Sci-Fi Trilogy's of all time.

          It’s just that good.

I am a huge fan of the original movies. This trilogy (pretty much a prequel to the first Apes movie with Heston) is on an entirely different level and is just the gold standard in the entire series.

I can’t wait to watch all three back to back to back eventually. Each movie was unique in their own ways.

I won’t spoil anything. But if you really liked the first two, this is a fantastic finale.

I'm going tomorrow afternoon to see it can't wait. I love the franchise & the last two were great.

Really enjoyed it. My son and I also thought it was the best of the series.

Saw it this afternoon & really enjoyed it as did others at the screening. Still amazed at how well done the ape cgi look's as it keeps improving from film to film. Thought it was a fitting end for the trilogy.

Re: War For The Planet Of The Apes (2017)

After having just seen War of the Apes for a 2nd time I have to take back what I said before. The movie is incredible and may be my favorite of the Apes movies was just a lot different then I was expecting when I first saw it. Its now one of my all time favorite trilogy's. 1 Dark knight trilogy 2 Star wars 4-6 trilogy 3 Apes rises threw War 4 Spider-Man 1-3.

I felt like the part of the movie that felt slow the first time didn't fell slow this time and I cant say enough about how amazing the soundtrack is and the begging of the movie is just something else. As you can see Spider-Man 1-3 is my 3erd favorite trilogy but it would be even higher if not for the fact that while I still like Spider-Man 3 over all it was on of the most disappointing movies I have ever seen and I think 1 has not aged that great. The crazy thing about Apes is that I can normally tell I am going to like a movie or not like 95% of the time I can tell if I am going to like a movie or not from the trailers and back when the first 1 came out I had zero interest in seeing it but heard a lot of good things about it and ended up watching it when it was on TV one day when I was bored. I ended up likely it and when I saw the trailer for dawn I was like this looks great and went and saw it and ended up loving it. So I got into the franchise late and didn't even care about it at the start lol.

When you see the trailers for this film you think you know what to expect but when you see the film it's much different. It's not just wall to wall action as it's more of a methodical journey that Caesar go's on.

Agreed, saw it last week, didn't know what to think when I walked out. A week later I still think about this movie almost every few minutes. It really stuck with me. The franchise is one of my absolute favorites anyway so I'm bias towards them, but damn what a movie. Matt Reeves did a fantastic job with these last 2 prequels.

Yeah he did a wonderful job on both films. I'm a big fan of the franchise dating back to the original with Heston. I'm also really interested to see how Matt Reeves does with The Batman solo film.

Rewatching the first two so I can go into War with the story fresh on my mind.

These movies are simply incredible. The very moment Caeser says "No!" for the first time might have become one of my favorite movie moments ever. Goosebumps.

Andy Serkis is a freaking amazing actor.

I finally saw this. Great movie especially since it focuses almost exclusively on the apes. A couple of sad moments in the movie. Ending was bittersweet.
