Amazing episode. I think that this is probably this season's Hardhome. I was truly on the edge of my seat during that entire sequence. Everyone can blame freaking Brann, but it's not like he had the best teacher. Dude should have told him about the no getting touched thing from the jump!

I wish we would have gotten a little more backstory about the Children of the Forest and the Man in the Tree (I still don't know why he was in the tree for?). Also, it was cool to see how Whitewalkers came about, although I would have like to see more on that, as well? I mean, did they just pick out that guy at random? Nonetheless, this was was great freaking episode and I loved every minute of it.

Lastly, dat play tho! They really nailed Ned!

I feel as if it was written so that if other books or stories could be told, they will be.

I would love a series about the Children. Love. Not sure if anything about them has even been conceived by Martin other than there's a past he could write about them someday.

Man, that a fantastic episode. Man can't believe we are half way through the season.

Just a few thoughts/questions about last night's episode..

If the Night King touched Bran and that allowed him to essentially "cancel" the magic that kept him from getting under the weirwood, does that mean if Bran travels south, the Night King has made the magic on the wall useless? The wall itself is still an obstacle, but isn't there magical properties to it that kept the walkers out of the south?

Sansa calling out Littlefinger was awesome, I'm super happy with how her character has evolved over the last few seasons.

What was the deal with Varys and the Red Priestess? That scene was powerful and I can't wait to find out more. That type of fear is so unusual for a character like Varys. The show watchers were never really given a backstory (other than the mutilated body parts). Is there more in the books that I'm not aware of in regards to him "hearing voices from the fire"?

I didn't catch it while they were riding away from Castle Black, but I really hope Jon keeps Davos and Melisandre around. There's no reason to not take them with him. Davos delivers the highest quality one-liners in the show and I'd be bummed if we were cut short in that department lol.

            Hodor..

So Little Finger wrote the letter and is setting them up? Where was Sansa/Jon headed, not to River Run like the WNBA player, right?

How is Bran and ol' girl going to get away? They are barley moving, they should be caught...

So Bran is the tree guy? And has been or what? How does all of this work?

The tree people made the white walkers, how? I think I need to go back and rewatch.

Poor Hodor - I am still confused about that stuff if someone wants to explain. Things like that happens when i ended up watching half last night and half this morning *SMH*.

              Best places for GoT shirts?

So Bran alters the future by altering the past? It's almost like he created a rift. The present is the present to some extent because somehow Bran frogged with the past in the present. This could get confusing.

This won't end well for Sansa, the lie will backfire and Brianne ends up dead. Starks never come out on top.

Was anybody else disappointed with the Kingsmoot? Euron basically just told them he's going to find a person they likely didn't know existed and use her dragons that they've never seen because he has ships.

To this point in the show nobody has believed Dany has dragons until they've seen them. But apparently these people were excited enough by the idea they made the guy who just showed up and killed the king the new king.

Small book spoiler from what I can remember of the Kingsmoot.

                    I think it's like Lost.

The past happened exactly as we saw it but present Bran didn't experience what he did just yet.

I think Hodor had a traumatic experience as a kid (obviously, we saw that) and adult Hodor was consciously living with this pain and knowledge. He literally couldn't get the orders out of his mouth. Maybe to remind himself? Maybe because of the traumatic experience? I don't know.

But it could also explain his allegiance to Bran. He likely always knew what he was to do.

Well, we now know that the White Walkers die in fire except for the generals.

I hope someone can find a fire breathing beast (or maybe 3) to take them all out while someone with a special sword takes out the Night's King.
