First off let me start by saying I come into this forum after every episode and read all of the comments to get a clearer picture on what people took out of each episode but this is the first time I have ever posted in this forum.
With that being said, this forum has went to crap! lol
9 out of every 10 posts lately are how bad this show has become. I just don't see it, this is still by far the greatest TV Series ever IMO.
People are talking about how bad last nights episode on here, hell they are comparing it to the Jersey Shore's writing. I just don't see it, its still great. Heck I have seen multiple websites claiming last nights episode as one of the greatest episode's of any series of all time, and I would completely agree with that! I guess if there is not constant fighting and boobs some people lose interest.
Sorry just had to get this off my chest, I just don't understand all the negativity towards this who now.
End of rant and I am sure now I will get killed in the next few comments.

AT what point did the show go beyond the novels? Like, I guess, what is the latest big event in the book, in relation to the show, if that question makes sense. Sorry if it doesnt

Boobs and fighting will always get 3 thumbs up from me. I would be lying to myself if I said otherwise.
Saying that, there are many episodes in seasons 1-4 that had neither and still loved them.

Last night's episode had way too much filler for my liking. What was it about the comedy hour of Tyrion and the former slaves that was so enthralling? Did it progress the story?
It wasn't even funny, so nobody can say it was put in there as comic relief.
It was simply filler. Just like Arya's story arc.

Now what WAS funny was the Blonde T-1000. That was hilarious. Even if the writers didn't intend it to be.

I'm still entertained by the show. Just not nearly as much as the first 4 seasons.
In those seasons, every scene was packed with something worthwhile. I don't know if anyone can say the same about the episodes since. Certainly not last night's.

I think the issue is you are reading this on a messageboard and think that people are actually upset. Most of my posts are in jest or have dry humor sprinkled in. It's an entertaining story. I enjoy the show immensely. It's their story to tell, it's not my story so I watch it and enjoy it, and mock it when the writing/directing isn't up to the show's high standards.

Perhaps you are reading another forum. Went back several pages and I don't see the 9 of 10 negative posts....

As with every episode of this show there are hits and misses. The comedy hour between Tyrion was one such miss. The exchanges between Jamie/Edmure and Jamie/Brienne were some of the best writing this season.

I'm sorry but the bulk of your post seems like you read lots of Internet chatter and decided to blame it on OS.

Perhaps you are reading another forum. Went back several pages and I don't see the 9 of 10 negative posts....

As with every episode of this show there are hits and misses. The comedy hour between Tyrion was one such miss. The exchanges between Jamie/Edmure and Jamie/Brienne were some of the best writing this season.

Well obviously I was exaggerating when I said 9 out of 10. Wow
But as you can see in the posts quoting my post there are plenty of people not happy with the show. Go back about 3 or 4 pages and you will see plenty of negative posts.
I guess I was just interested as to why so many people didn't like the last few episodes.
They have been great to me, that is all I was saying.

I still enjoy the show but there have been some very questionable decisions this season (Tyrion is apparently a political moron now) and really feels like they started the budget constraints a season early and this one was 10 episodes in name only with 6-7 really good ones and 3-4 filler episodes.

Not to mention that they still have not brought over my absolute favorite character from the books that in my opinion would send this series into overdrive.

Hmmm.....So as I am re-watching past episodes. Cersi threatens her father at the end of Season 4. Threatens to expose the truth about Tommen and his true lineage. It has me wondering.....with her own life on the line would she tell the world the truth about Tommen? She seems desperate enough.
