I thought it was the worst episode this season. In fact, it was so ho-hum, the after part that explains the scenes, was only 3 snippets and very short. I usually try and re-watch, to pick up on things I missed, however, I have no desire to watch this one.

Let's hope the last two redeem the hell out of this one, and this was done this way on purpose to set things up.

The whole Dorn thing has been terrible TV. The Jaimie and Bronn scene where they were travelling minstrels in Dorn singing some cheesy song and then dressed up like Dornish guards reminded me of the Tin Man and Cowardly Lion trying to sneak into the wicked witch's castle. It was brutal.
How he did not head back there, or even mention anything about them, and exacting revenge was very poor. Bruh, they killed your daughter, people know poison when they see it, and she died right when she accepted you as her father.

I would have brought an army back, or hired mercs to capture them.

That's cause Jaime doesn't want to start another war. That's why his letter to Doran specifically asked him to give-up/execute the Sand Snakes; heck, we don't even know if the rest of the realm know Doran is dead. Also, his love is really more for Cersei than any of his kids.

So I was re-watching some episodes yesterday while my roommate was getting caught up..

Jamie, talking to Edmure about Cersei and Cat loving their children, is on the subject of the great lengths they would go for their kids. He says a few things and then drops: "they would burn cities to ash to protect their children."

Obviously I missed this the first time around, but it totally had the Littlefinger vibe from a few seasons ago when he basically predicted how 3 characters would die.

That might play into Bran's vision which seemed the future in some spots with the Wildfire.

She most definitely has an ace up her sleeve. That much was apparent when she was whispered to after the King's decision.

I think Tommen, Cersei, and Jaime, maybe even the high sparrow. Who knows really, but someone gone burn*.

                  *In my opinion anyways.

That is quite the trio all at once. I think that would piss all the fans off, lol.

Cersei would have to kill the Sparrow herself, and Daenerys -- Jamie for a perfect meld (but that probably won't happen)... sadly I think Ramsey escapes the showdown as well.

They just love to piss you off more often than not, so you may be on to something, lol.

Isn't Jamie going to be at Riverrun waiting for Edmure's wife and child so he can escort them to Casterly Rock to be held there in confinement more commiserate with his standing?

Point being if Cersi burns Kings Landing wouldn't he still be on the road?

Solid point and I believe you're correct.

I just feel with that speech he gave it implies some type of undying, burning (pun intended) love for each other. So if they were to be offed in the end they'd at least be in one another's arms when it happened.

Who knows, maybe they both survive this season.

Two huge battles in the final two episodes either way, can't wait.

That speech (while superbly written and acted) seems out of place. Jamie and Cersi's relationship to me appears strained at best and over at worst (he did "rape" her and she has openly mocked him for having no balls). Idk it has seemed like they are in different places....but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I was thinking the other day how it kind of got swept under the rug that he got "a little frisky" with her (obviously putting it very mildly) right next to their fathers dead body. Seemed like that was kind of a big deal. Unless maybe they're implying that's how their relationship was initially started and it's maybe kind of normal for her? I dunno

The writer did get some things wrong in that letter. It's supposed to be "my mother - your niece" and "Family, Duty, Honour" and not "Family, Honour, Duty."

It's such a tragedy that this is on at the same time on the east coast as game 7 of warriors cavs. Twitter is gonna be bananas and will be so hard to keep off while watching the game.
