I was so in to the episode that I wasn't paying attention to time, yet I knew it was getting close and sure enough...

              Cut to black, episode over.

              Damn.

Well, the Dorne plot is just completely fubar. Makes absolutely no sense to me. You want to avenge Oberyn so you kill his brother and nephew? People who had nothing to do with him dying in the first place? So now what?

They killed them because the king wanted to make peace with the Lannister's and his son, who would have been next in line for power, would have as well. With those two out of the way now the Sand Snakes control Dorne and can go after the revenge that they seek without worrying about anything standing in their way.

That's my take on it anyway.

What revenge? Tywin is dead. The Mountain is dead-ish(but dead dead for all they know). They already killed Myrcella.

How do they control Dorne? Why would all the houses of Dorne follow a few bastards who just kin slayed and extinguished an ancient line? It's not like they did the smart thing like the Boltons and made sure to have a symbol/hostage like Sansa around for whom the country would unite. If control of Dorne was the goal it seems like keeping Trystane alive at least would have made it easier.

I would have to re-watch the scene but besides the the big guy who got shanked in the back and the guy who got killed while running away it seems like everyone else was in on it. If they can control the kings guard (or whatever they're called in Dorne), then maybe they can control the people? If not them then who?

Good point about they had already got their revenge... Maybe they're pissed that they didn't get to kill Tywin and still have it out for the Lannister's? Do they know the Mountain is deadish? Maybe they believe that Lannisters would be coming for their revenge and since they killed Marcella and since they did it without the kings approval, then he would turn them over to the Lannisters?

I'm not a book reader so I don't know too much, I'm just guessing/making conversation here.

Man, there is a LOT of stuff going on and they haven't even gotten to Bran, yet. I wish they had more than 10 episodes to work with.

-Dorne vs KL is on, now. I'm interested to see what the Sand Snakes' next move will be.

-Can't wait to see the fight between Davos' crew and the Crows.

-Interesting ending with Melisandre. That magic of hers does wonders.

-Cersai and Jaime are about to go HAM.

The first four seasons of GOT were absolutely brilliant. Even the stuff the writers changed from the books generally worked. But in the last season + 1 episode we have gone from something that felt cinematic and epic to a fairly pedestrian tv show that had just enough moments ("Hardhome") to remind us what it once was.

Man, this Arya storyline (in addition to Dorne) I really couldn't care less about.
