    R.I.P. Robert Loggia

    TMZ link

He's probably best known for playing drug kingpin Frank Lopez in Scarface but he had a long and varied career. I remember him for often playing tough guys whether they were heroes or villains. I knew he was up there in years but didn't realize he was suffering from Alzheimers.

He was great in a lot of stuff, but his brief stint as Richard Gere's dad in Officer And A Gentlemen, his A+ third banana role in Jagged Edge, and his always entertaining Feech La Manna in The Sopranos stood out to me.

I was just watching the movie Necessary Roughness the other day with him in it. I love that movie!

Loggia was the kind of guy who when he showed up in a movie or show, you were glad he was part of the cast.

I'll always remember him most for this scene:

We have all fantasized about doing that to a terrible driver we've had to deal with on the road before!
