Re: Better Call Saul (Season 2)
Awesome cold open. It was nice seeing some more of Chuck's backstory.
Another Breaking Bad callback was in that cold open too. Jimmy mentions the Beachcomber apartments. Walter White lived there for a couple of episodes at the start of season three, right after Skyler kicked him out.
The Beachcomber is an apartment complex in Albuquerque. Jimmy McGill mentioned The Beachcomber to Chuck McGill and Rebecca Bois when he first moves to Albuquerque after Chuck gets him a job in the mailroom of HHM. ("Rebecca") After his wife Skyler did not want him in their home during their separation, Walter lived here temporarily. Walt rented apartment 221 before moving back home with Skyler in the following episode. ("No Más") Walt’s apartment at BreakingBad-Locations.comLast edited by 55; 03-14-2016, 10:25 PM.Comment

Man, I don't know how there are people that find Jimmy's story boring.
It does seem that Mike is the connection to Breaking Bad, and I get that, but this show could have been just as good without Breaking Bad.
Following Jimmy McGill's story is incredible."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Jimmy is a terrific character but this is the Saul-Mike hour. This is 1-1A situation.Comment

Re: Better Call Saul (Season 2)
IDK about y'all but Kim banging Kirko Bangz was the best part of the episode, especially considering that this is pre-BrBa, droppping us off at 2004, 2005?
Kim was on Kirko a good 6-7 years before Drank In My Cup.And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU
