"Shades Of Blue"-Jennifer Lopez & Ray Liotta

It's about cops that care about their community and take their police work seriously, but who are on the take. As an example they'll provide a bookie with as much protection as they can, but will not tolerate minors being involved, dog fighting, or chicken fighting. The three leads, including Drea de Matteo, are part of this group of dirty cops who don't seem to think they're dirty.

It's worth a look. Lopez can actually act, and a

I watched the first episode and it felt predictable. It started off well and tailed off from there. I am not totally writing it off but I am not sure how long it will keep me interested.

      Predictable? Even the big turn?

I thought it was pretty good, J-Lo did good and this is the perfect role for Ray Liotta, always liked him. Adding it to my list of shows to keep up with.

It held my interest. Pretty good acting by J-Lo..and I love Drea. Show is easy on the eyes with those 2 that's for sure. Liotta seems a bit heavy handed in his acting but I will give it another shot this week. It's better than I expected...

Conditional "keeper" due to the cast and Barry Levinson...

Feels much more like a SHO / HBO deal, so it's worth seeing if this goes anywhere interesting after a solid, but unspectacular start...

That's how I feel, but this one is different.

Also any time J-Lo takes her clothes off kind of gets my attention! Although there is not much to see on TV.

                      Amen brother.
She looked fantastic in "The Boy Next Door".

This is premiering tomorrow in my neck of the woods. I'll give it a glance. Love me some cop drama.

This one is a fail for me. The second episode sealed the deal. This is playing out more like a soap opera.

                          I don't see that.

I'm going to continue watching for a while, but I'm curious how they're going to sustain the mess that J-Lo is in unless it's wiggled out of somehow, and we are just reset to "on the take cops" with Lopez not in the game anymore.

They revealed too much of the story in the opening episode and now they have to throttle it down to stretch it out the rest of the season and beyond if it exists. My soap opera reference was in terms of pace in how you can watch an hours worth of something and not really progress anywhere.

I like it so far. It's got a nice twist to it. Although the pace of it is a little fast for tv maybe. I mean the story is unfolding like it's a 2 hour movie instead of a weekly show. I'll stick with it and see were it goes.
