The TV adaptation of Stephen King's 2011 novel about an attempt to save the life of President John F Kennedy via time travel through a portal in a diner. The protagonist (James Franco) starts his mission by going back to 1960, three years before the assassination.

An eight episode Hulu original limited series, starting February 15.

Read the novel a couple of years ago. Pretty interesting read. Will look forward to seeing how this movie shapes out.

was a huge fan of the book, read it a few years back, will more than likely get hulu so I can watch the show.

I saw one trailer, and for whatever reason, it sort of turned me off, Im not sure why I think there were some obvious deviations from the book that were evident in the trailer. I also just didnt see the main character as a James Franco type when I read it, thinking back, envisioning James Franco as the main character, idk, Ill give him a shot. I dont want to

I didn't read the book, but I don't know if deviations from the book are necessarily a bad thing, especially if you read the book.

No, deviations aren't automatically bad in my mind, I meant more the deviations I saw in the trailer, my initial reaction was to not like the way they deviated. I'll give it a shot though. I'd also recommend reading the book, it is great!

I'm hooked! Girlfriend read the book, so I knew some of the things that happen, but overall I should be 99% surprised. Sucks it's only one episode a week, but I guess this way they get two months of subscriptions out of people instead of everyone watching it on a two week trial (unless they wait).

That first episode was not what I was expecting. It was good though.

The book was one of my favorites. I read it in 4 days.

they moved Derry out of the show all together. I felt the fact that it was Derry was rather important. Especially the feeling of the locals.

so does he "change something" else in the show? you are right, that is a pretty big part, where he gambles, changes the hunting accident, and runs into the kids dancing,etc. where does he go? right to florida? or to texas?

The hunting accident part is important if only to explain that there is a "reset". Also, I do hope the story line is consistent on the Dunning Family in regards to how it was resolved twice. Seeing how the past changed from 2012 is important there.

Josh Duhamel played the brute well.

If there are consequences to changing history, stopping the assassination of JFK must be a big one.
