Speaking of time travel Jaybee, I read an article the other day that says one thing movies and shows don't usually take into account is just how different speech is between eras. Someone from a long, long time ago, say 1840, wouldn't be able to understand the English someone from 2016 speaks.

And no i'm not really speaking about slang like "phat" or such, I'm speaking more about accents and pronounciation (sp??)...

Even from now to the the 1963 era it may be a bit revealing when someone speaks to someone from that time era.

I was stationed on an RAF base (Chicksands in the UK) some years ago, and had some communication problems with locals, but we still spoke English so it wasn't too bad. But if you're talking about another era like the 1800's you might need a translator.

I loved this series, one of the most satisfying watches I've had ever. However, was a bit let down by the ending as they didn't show more of what the alternate future was like. I'll leave it there not to spoil anything.

I liked it. Franco can act, and he had chemistry with the girl, but the journey to assess Oswald's involvement often bogged down. I loved the concept of the mission to "time-save" JFK but wasn't "awed" by how how they presented it.

A key character Bill, became more annoying then anything else. I realize he was a writers' roadblock but wasn't he presented as someone who saw the importance of what was going down? In an instant he was lusting for Oswald's wife and couldn't think straight. But who could blame him? LOL.

The last episode looked like a winner but

I liked the series but I feel like it couldhave been so much better than it was. The concept is really cool but I feel like the time travel aspect was pretty much ignored after he went back. The only way it really tied in was the gambling and that Jake knew times, names, & places of big events.

I would have liked it if he used his future knowledge more often in every day life. I also was expecting at least one or two resets early on just to test things out. Scenes where he was interacting with people for the second time would have been interesting. Then after he got a significant time in he would just ride it out since he's invested so much by that point.

I figured all along the world would be in shambles. I told my SO that this was a prequel to Man in High Castle (I Know that takes place in the 60s).

the Nazis nuked Washington DC sometime at the end of the 1940's, but the show starts in 1962, years after the occupation of the US by Germany and Japan.

In 11.22.63 the USA starts deteriorating when Kennedy is not assassinated.

Thought the call was weird too, glad to see he got the call though and was not locked up. I wish they had expanded on what had happened in the alternate future. I read synopsis the book and found they explained more what had happened in there.

I finished watching the series last weekend. Meh. I don't think it did the book justice, that's totally my opinion, I could see someone really enjoying the show without reading the book.

Just finished the series today. I liked it but I wasn't a fan of the ending.

I got the book on my kindle and planning on reading it soon
