Re: David Bowie dies at age 69
A most unique entertainer. I think I still have several of his vinyls in my old collections.
Also loved the Flight of the Conchords tribute song to him... I think they captured every one of his styles

Re: David Bowie dies at age 69
A stop on the "Station to Station" tour (featuring Iggy Pop on keyboards and Salvador Dali's film "The Andalusian Dog" as "opening act"), was my very first live music experience...
Needless to say, that informed / influenced the way I saw the world going forward...
R.I.P. to "The Thin White Duke"...Comment

Re: David Bowie dies at age 69
Jeez, Louise, I just bought his new CD, Blackstar, last Friday.(just came out) And his birthday was Friday, too.
It's eccentric and really good.
RIP David Bowie, thanks for all the great music.
Wam blam, thank you mam.
Go Ziggy.

Re: David Bowie dies at age 69
I know this has been already posted, but this was the first time I heard Heroes back in 85 at Live Aid.
It was a energetic performance I will never forget. Thomas Dolby on keyboards.
