Is a TV Series really necessary though?

I'd be shocked if it gets a 2nd season. Just looked too....."corny". I'll give it a look though.

Well at least it's the opposite of "TV series to movie"

I'll take a peek at it.

Not sure why they copied the movie so much, wasn't enticing me to watch a bad impersonation of Chris Tucker, and not Jackie Chan (who doesn't, at least from the trailer, seem to have anywhere close to the comedic sensibility that Chan has).

Tucker and Chan made Rush Hour, not the other way around. Without them, a movie would be horrible... even with them, a TV show would probably be bad at this point too.

TV show, without them... no chance this lasts.

Why so many remakes? No original ideas these days.

                Sink.

While I liked the first Rush Hour, the second and third one did nothing for me. So re-hashing an idea that died after the first movie installment is not a good idea.

I thought the second one was easily the best one but to make a tv show out of this is just so stupid. When I first saw this thread I thought it was going to be for a show that just happened to have the same name as those movies but had nothing to do with them.

It doesn't work as well with Carter shorter than Lee, and Lee only being of mixed Asian descent.

I can't say that I'd watch, but Rush Hour 3 was a travesty, so seeing the "reboot" of Rush Hour in the pilot might be better than that.

Hope it's pretty good, I'll give it a shot, looks like something i'd like but think Carter will get on my nerves a bit.

Have to echo what others are saying, Tucker and Chan made those movies. The majority of that trailer just seemed "off".

I'm willing to bet most of what is "copied" is in the pilot only, but a lot of the season probably has to do with some sort of Triad villainy.

I watched two different trailers and both were pretty cringe-worthy.

I would give a show a look if it was actually Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, but this doesn't interest me the slightest bit. It looks pretty bad. I hope I'm wrong, though.. for the sake of television.
