    Man that looked terrible.......
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I'm guessing this will fail miserably, but I loved Tucker & Chan in those movies so much that I'll probably give this a chance.

          Re: Rush Hour TV Series

          Just watched the pilot.

As you're probably already aware, you're not missing out on anything. A couple of chuckles, but nothing compares to the writing and action of the films (not like they are gold either, but they were the first kind of "action comedy" I had really seen, considering I was only ten years old when Rush Hour came out).

Even if you haven't seen Rush Hour before, I won't say you'll exactly be hooked. Casting is all wrong on every front. No, I'm not comparing to Chan and Tucker (not good actors either). Just none of it sits right, is all.

Also, it just "feels" like a TV show. Never a good thing. This show doesn't really seem like it would last. I'm only going to give it one more shot to decide whether it's even worth watching at all, but something tells me it won't be.

By the way, it was all very predictable.

          Spoiler

I wish these kinds of things could have developed over the time of like ten episodes, though. Maybe shows just aren't given enough leeway for what they should include early on or not, for fear of early cancellation.

All that said, bar none, even if this was all a quality production, the reason this show won't have legs is because it is stuck 20 years in the past. Although I haven't yet seen the sequels to Dumb & Dumber or Zoolander, apparently that is their biggest problem as well. This would have worked in the late 90s and early 2000s. Now, it's just not very much "this decade." But maybe I only saw the pilot (that is mostly a carbon-copy of RH1) and have not let them do their own thing yet. That's mostly why I'm still going to give it another chance.

            Re: Rush Hour TV Series

Three episodes in (including the pilot), so far the only thing in this show that's not a total travesty is the writing.

The acting, action, stunt choreography, filmmaking, soundtrack, TV limitations, and release timing are all pretty much a massive wreck. There aren't even any real conflicts yet, and it seems that three episodes in they could call this a wrap as far as Carter and Lee being the closest they pretty much can be.

This wouldn't necessarily be any better if Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker reprised their roles though, either. They had to go young and they had to restart. In the end though, as it appears, it's just another cop show with a different name slapped on it, and it's cheesy as hell. I know I mentioned TV limitations, but they don't have to go this direction keeping that in mind.

I think the soundtrack and action is really what is separating what the Rush Hour films were versus what this is. They try to modernize it all, and it comes off very poorly and cheaply produced. I wish this show could have a bit more going for it, but sadly this will probably run very short.

Yep there is nothing special about it and with the scheduling, CBS is saying this is getting cancelled.

I haven't seen an episode yet. Totally forgot it was airing soon and nothing but doom and gloom was spoken over the show since its initial announcement.

Guess this is one time EVERYBODY was right

Was thinking the same thing, LMAO.

This was me with Minority Report though... stuck with it until the very last episode. On the other hand, there at least was Megan Good to look at.

Still tuned in, for no real reason. It didn't get renewed for a Season 2 though.
