I saw the 1st episode already via BBC as its also running there on Saturday night I believe.

Really enjoyed it. Definitely something I will continue watching.

It's from the UK, so you can never really tell. They are doing international, so if it makes money, it should be back. The only "issue" will be the shortened season 6-8 episodes and the potential unknown new season timing.

Could be successful like Orphan Black and get standard # of episodes and be scheduled yearly.

Glad you made this recent post. I thought I had it set up for record but apparently I didn't. I missed the first FX showing with the unusual start time of 10:21 PM CST, but will be able to catch the encore, broadcast immediately after (11:42 PM CST).

It is being called a mini-series so I'm assuming that it wraps up with the eighth episode, but you never know.

I didn't know that the guy who plays Doug Stamper on House Of Cards is in it-the lone American in the main cast.

It's an ALMOST simultaneous British-US broadcast with BBC One three days ahead of FX.

Definitely started a little slow. The weirdness has me interested, and I feel like it's going to quickly give way to action given the developments at the end of the episode.

Finally saw the first episode, I liked it. A nice dark, brooding atmosphere in bleak 1800's England. Tom Hardy is solid, hopefully they don't make his character invincible. The occult bits kept me interested through the exposition. They did tease a lot about the overall story, a decent setup episode.

Anyone else think that

the "boy" he gives money for and sees is the son of him and his half sister? She talks at the end in her letter of letting the past be and he has the same look/hair as her.

All around a solid opening episode, can't wait for episode two tonight.
