Came back last night.

1 episode in Strand still remains the only interesting character on the show.

Crazy how different a premiere for this show is different from TWD.

I agree with you, Strand was the only character that caught my attention. There just didn't seem to be much going on throughout the episode. Some back and forth about helping or leaving people, and that was about it.

Last nights episode was a bit slow but it was ok. A lot of stupidity in this episode for me, first off Madison wanting to save all those people with the boat they were on. It was a lot of people you don't know anything about and she was wanting them all on Abigail? I felt the same way Strand did, rule #1 It's my boat, rule #2 it's My Boat, rule #3 it's my GD Boat.

Then Alicia being in contact and wanting to go help some dude she met on the CB radio, turn the boat around and let's go help this stranger...just really stupid to me.

You got to remember that this is basically the beginning of the end. Strand is already in that mindset, but the rest of them are slowly getting there. That theme will be a constant I believe throughout this series for awhile, just as a way IMO to remind the audience that these characters aren't sure of what's going on like we know.

There's just a lot of boring characters in this show. I don't think it helps that we're smarter in regards to the zombie apocalypse than these characters. Strand is the only one I find intriguing. Seems like an interesting fella. No way he's just helping our group just because he's a good guy.

Agreed with most sentiments here, Strand is the only interesting character right now. Other than him we're just waiting for the show to actually get good. That episode was straight up boring.

Taking friendly bets on who of this group dies first. I'm going with younger dad (Cliff Curtis).

Yeah, I'm confused as Strand appears to be the only person who und understands the magnitude of the situation and acts accordingly where as everyone literally saw the same stuff. I know it's a show, but I'd still consider some of it character development or something, that's off with some of the characters. I like the walking dead so I'll keep watching, but this version hasn't drawn me in where it's like I can't wait to see the next episode.

Yeah tonight was one of the better episodes, for me there have been good ones cause I like the show but tonight was my first big Oh **** moment.

I thought episode 2 was dreadful and boring. And as others have said, the characters besides Strand on this show are just awful.

Maybe I missed it but if anyone can help me with some issues I had.......

What was the purpose of this episode? The only thing I learned is that the whole western coastline of cities are gone.

What is this 9, 10 episodes thus far and the whole west coast is gone? So many different stories could have been told before everything fell apart and they failed to capitalize on any of the early origins.

I know we saw a few ships and boats on the water but shouldn't there be more? I know here on the east coast there are tons of private boat owners. I figured it would be the same with California.

With the markings on the dolls heads, the family seem to be aware that head trauma was needed to put down the dead. So what was up with the pills? Were they not aware that they would have been doomed to walk the earth as the dead?

The little girl was what 5? 7? Yet she overpowered her mom? And where was the husband as she wondered out on the pier? Did he get overpowered too?

And what was up with the writers letting Stand get spoken down by Madison? I understand that taking on someone else's child is way off limits during this crisis. Yet she tells Strand we're taking him, and that's that, which shuts Strand up, and he accepts it? Then the kid leaves the yacht for what became a ridiculous waste of time of an episode?

BTW.....I love the Abigail and want one when I retire.

The show is moving pretty slowly. And then they are going head to head with GoT?
