I posted this in the recently seen movies thread but wanted to discuss spoilers in here if anyone has seen it.

What are peoples thoughts on spoilers in a movie thread once it is released?

Ok so we went and saw The Shallows yesterday.

Decent movie. Not great, not bad. A fast paced, tense shark drama. Some crazy moments for sure. Some great cinematography as well. Outstanding CGI of the Great White killer in this film. Looked very real.

If your looking for a fast paced (and clocking in at just under 90 minutes too) action/suspense shark movie I can say go see it. Of course you have to suspend some belief. And the lead actress Blake Lively is drop dead hot. Super hot in fact. Worth the price of the ticket alone.

What are peoples thoughts on spoilers in a movie thread once it is released?

There is a stickied thread about this. Generally it seems that in the TV threads people don't spoil on series where the episodes are released all at once, like on Netflix, but otherwise you see some spoilers. With movies, it's always best to cover a spoiler.

I went into this movie expecting to hate it. I thought "this is just a corny cheesy ripoff that they knew would make a profit if they kept the budget low enough and showed just enough of Blake Lively's bikini body to get guys to watch."

So yeah. Blake Lively has an amazing body. That's definitely a plus. But, honestly, this movie isn't that bad. I would give it a solid 6 out of 10, worth watching for cheap tickets or for free down the road for sure. It's a decent little suspenseful nature-monster thriller. I was pleasantly surprised by how legit they kept it, this isn't "Sharknado" or any of that campy stuff. It's a pretty solid thrillride

that flaming, flying shark?! Haha, set up perfectly by Lively's, "**** you!"

Just be warned, the movie runs about 90 minutes and Lively looks busted for about 60 of 'em. Shark life.

Spend $10+ at the theaters? Don't. Wait for Redbox ($1.50) or for it to come to streaming services.
