This is huge news.

I'm not going to say I like what Rob Zombie did for people that like the original Halloween, but I like the take on an origin story. I never dared to watch the sequel, though.

I'm not going to say I like what Rob Zombie did for people that like the original Halloween, but I like the take on an origin story. I never dared to watch the sequel, though.

I am a monstrous Halloween fan. I love the series with a passion and also loved Zombies re imaging of the first Halloween. It was brutal, gritty and the origin story of Michael Myers was fantastic. Malcolm McDowell was brilliant as Dr Loomis as well and would have made Donald Pleasance proud. However the sequel for Zombies reboot was downright awful and ruined what was one of the very best horror reboots ever made. All the others have been garbage (Friday The 13th, Elm Street, The Fog, Texas Chainsaw).


My hope is just a great, suspenseful Halloween. Back to it's roots. The original will never be topped. It can't be. The charm of a film made with barely a 1MM budget and all unknowns for the exception of the late great Donald Plesance is not one that can ever be topped.

I loved Halloween III.....however it is impossible for me to consider it part of the cannon. It was never ever meant to be a Halloween sequel. Those who have seen the behind the scenes extra's on Scream Factories Special Edition Blue Ray know the film was going to be just called Season Of The Witch but the studio demanded it have the Halloween brand in the title to draw in the crowds. Well after opening weekend that ended quickly when everyone screamed about no Michael Myers and nothing to do with the first 2 films. LOL.

Still a cult classic in my book. So much goodness in that flick wit repeated viewings. Tom Atkins was classic in that film as Dr Challis, The late great Dan O'Herlihy as Conal Cochran and the super cute and sexy Stacey Nelkin as Ellie Grimbridge. Awesome camp.

I agree with you pretty much 100% Armour. Halloween 3 was great in its own right. Very underrated.

I loved Zombie's first remake, but hated the second. And the Original two movies were by far the best. Absolute classics.

I'm one of the biggest M.M Halloween fans around , this is such great news, as for Rob zombie, his remakes were a total disappointment IMO. If I had the money I would have a remade a better film, and started in it myself as MM. Lol. I have charger down to a tee

Wow great news Halloween and Halloween 2 are still the scariest movies ever. Halloween staple to watch them. I assume Halloween 2017 we should be getting this new movie?
