    Re: Big Brother: Season 18

If it's quick 5-10 min recap episodes or something, that'll be fine. It is funny though how it really does look like at times they've just given up on this season already and are preparing for next season. At first it was funny, now it's just weird with those random scenes they have in the episodes. That Corey cleaning scene was just messed up. All he was doing was cleaning, but they turned it into some weird trippy thing for an entire minute, just to fill tv time before nominations. Editing team is just in "who cares" mode lol.

As for nominations, obviously expected now, and makes most sense from a game standpoint. Though if James does make it to F4, he absolutely needs to break up the final duo, or else he'll all but kill his F2 chances.

Hoping Victor does last this week, but if he doesn't win veto, then he's for sure gone which would suck.

The show aspect of it, it'll just be a single 1 hour episode a week.

So basically if you want to follow along with the show, you need to watch the feeds, or just read up on what happened(which will be kind of useless if you just read up on what happens for 95% of the time, and watch the 1 hour show which sums up the other 5%).

Like many others, I'll watch the first episode just to see how it is, but really not that excited for the show in general. Going into the season premiere of a show with negative expectations isn't a good thing for viewers or the show itself. CBS has already put Amazing Race in "limbo", and now doing this to Big Brother, hopefully this isn't gonna be the slow death of their "big 3" reality shows.
I have watched all 18 seasons of BB but doubt I will watch a minute of this next "bb season".
I think your last sentence is way off.
BB's ratings are sky high and they are just trying see what kind of response they get on this web series.
BB 20 will be back next summer for sure.

I know BB is continuing till at least 2018, but Amazing Race had good ratings too and it got randomly halted for now, so anything is possible. Not that I want it to end, but when a show has been on as long as shows like this, you always hope it doesn't end,and any signs of change causes uncertainty at times.

Just my opinion but James won't break them up he was already reminding them about their 10k deal they made yesterday on feeds, I mean he could break them up but I think he'd just assume secure 10k than risk making them mad or causing them not to win period. That said given how awful he is at everything besides wall comps I don't see James winning anything much down the stretch, maybe part 1 of final HOH comp should he get there.

Production should yell at James again for bringing up giving money. You would think he learned his lesson the first time they gave him crap for it.

10K is pretty small though and there's no guarantee the winner would actually go through with giving the money with the fear of getting in trouble. James kind of experienced this situation when they had the prize Veto comp last season and Becky promised James she would split the 5K prize if he took the Veto necklace, but she backed out of the deal when he won AFP.

I think he would nominate Nicorey if he gets a chance to win HoH today. As long as one of Nicorey gets evicted, taking James to final 2 might be every other houseguests best option to getting a chance to win Big Brother. For the integrity of the game, he's played the lousiest out of remaining houseguests and would lose on that aspect. Only way he wins is if it is a popularity contest.

              Re: Big Brother: Season 18

They could take each other on trips, but don't know about directly giving each other money. If James wants to take someone on two 5k trips, then by all means he can do what he want. But if he gives them 10k of his winnings, then it'll be a problem for BB.

I think we had a conversation about this last season too. I mentioned how in BB8, there was supposedly some issues with splitting the prize money since BB8 finals featured the Donatos. E.D. wanted to give some of his money to his daughter, but I think BB didn't want to allow it since it's against rules, but I think he won that battle since even though he was sharing money with a contestant, that contestant was his own daughter, so he was allowed to do so. Either that, or he found some way around it and gave her stuff either way.

Side note, James said he was in running for some media job with CBS(or some CBS affiliate). Wasn't allowed to accept it since he was going on BB, but once season is over, he'll probably accept it(unless Survivor or Amazing Race comes calling).

                Re: Big Brother: Season 18

Two of the new classics in BB comps both happened today! BB comics and what the bleep. Didn't look at every comic, but funniest ones was Jozea and Michelle. The big mess-iah lol. And big baby meech.

What the bleep is one of funniest comps on bb. Unnecessary censorship moments are always funny. Paul winning is great. At this point, hope he does make f2.

Corey as big fave for p1 of final hoh comp, but would lose p3 for sure. Nicole loses p1, but I'd put as fave for 2&3. James might have shot at p1, and possibly p3. Paul could win 2&3. So with that said, Nicole is most dangerous to leave in. Corey is most likely evictee though.

If they're worried about ratings for Amazing Race, Big Brother, and Survivor they should give up all these damn gimmicks they do every season. Just get back to basics, I'm already lamenting Survivor's Gen X vs Millennials junk. Why are they messing with the formulas?

I've watched every season of Big Brother, but this is the first season that I'm just watching the live shows (gives enough of a recap). Even with that, I forgot it was on last night. The cast has been terrible, not a single person in the house I liked from day 1. Pretty much gave up on the show 2-3 episodes in and went to my live show only routine. Shame, as every season has gotten worse and worse IMO. This show needs a jolt of something (what that is I don't know) to get it going again. Every year it feels like the same thing, Survivor did the same to me and now it's a show I haven't watched in years. I have a feeling it could be the same with Big Brother going forward.

In their minds, gimmicks are what can attract new people to watch. Survivor has had some that worked great(blood vs water the first time around as a more recent example), but they overdo it at times. I'm not looking forward to upcoming theme either as I find this whole millennial stereotype to be stupid and forced on society.

I meant the editing of it. Adding weird music, special effects type stuff on the screen, the voices inside his head of the HGS, just seemed weird.

Ironically, I liked this season. My fave since bb12. No real frustrating gameplay moves compared to past years, the most unlikable people(to me at least) were gone early, and outside of Michelle, nobody the past few evictions(along with remaining hgs) I liked less now than I did to start season.

I have watched every episode of every season and have loved this season.
I actually think the cast has been great. One of the best BB seasons ever IMO.
Me and my GF were just saying this last night, how we thought this might be our favorite season yet.
My fav season ever was the one with Will and Mike Boogie but this might be my 2nd fav.
Love, love, love Paul and Vic (before last night) together. We watch a lot of BBAD when we go to bed and they are great on there! Very entertaining season if you ask me.

Since we're on that topic...what are people's rankings of the seasons?

For me at least in order(I don't remember/know 1-4 enough to put it on here)
                              7(AS),8,12,10,5 as "top tier"
                              16,14,6,17,11 as "middle tier"
                              13,15,9 as "bottom tier"

I'm sure people would strongly disagree with a number of the rankings, but that's just my personal preference. 13,15,9 I hated. 11 I liked cause I really liked Jeff and Jordan, but alot of that cast was forgettable.

I'd rank BB18 above 16(which I've actually started liking more as time passed), and maybe above 5(depending how good 5 really was,i was planning on rewatching it in the fall).

I've enjoyed the season of Big Brother and really liked this cast, as well. I think the only disappointment for me is there really wasn't really someone that I "love to hate" to root against this season. The whole cast was a little bit too Kumbaya in my opinion. There was some decent drama with the Frank/Day, Paulie/Z stuff, but I haven't really disliked anyone this season like I have in the past.
