    Lights Out

This looks creepy as hell, like that there have actually been some good horror movies over the last few years. July 22

      Re: Lights Out

This movie looks pretty darn good. Looking forward to seeing it

I honestly think horror/scary movies have made a big comeback in recent years. Conjuring was a big part of that. Finally got away from "The Ring" clones that over-saturated the market for so long

I might have turned the light off a few times out of curiosity real quick, but after turning off and turning on and it's gotten closer? Hope there is no way in hell she was stupid enough to turn it off again.

            Re: Lights Out

            Hahaha, "curiosity killed the cat".

I love psychological creepy horror/thrillers. The only thing that has always bothered me, is that we are to believe it is in "our world" yet people make senseless mistakes like they have never seen a horror film, or the like...

Nvm, haha, it is just like "our world", lol.

It's actually based off of this short film.

                  Re: Lights Out

Had an opportunity to see it tonight, but flubbed it when my sister and her boyfriend couldn't go. Shame, I'm now thinking I should've went myself. Would've been a short 40 minute drive, really. Damn, now I'm regretting it heh.

Wondering if I should see the short film before seeing this version, or if it will "spoil" that experience.

EDIT: LOL nevermind, didn't know the short was 150 seconds long. I saw more in the five minute preview before The Conjuring 2, so checking that out should be nothing.

There's another movie coming out in August called "Don't Breathe" the apparently is really really good

This is the one I can't wait for, simply by initial audience reaction. Outside of the plot synopsis, I'm going to try and avoid seeing anything about it.

I'm definitely going to try and nab a pre-screening for that one.

That trailer came on right after the Lights Out one. Saw that it was Stephen Lang as the 'Blind Man'. Worked a movie set with him back in 2011/12.

He only produced the movie, so the standards are a little lower. Insidious 3 was the worst of the three without him directing it, Annabelle didn't come close to as good as the Conjuring (or it should've been) without him directing it.

Then you think of the Saw movies... (though I loved III and VI)
