Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)

Really liked the pacing of the episode, shows that they didn't need to do that focus on one area for each episode like the 1st half of the season.

I'm confused about why Gabriel did what he did after he seemed to be making strides. I don't like this Rosita right now, pushing people away instead of looking to them for help.

What was Rick smiling about at the end? I have a theory but was wondering if someone picked up something from the group encounter.

Just a guess but it's more people to fight the Saviors with.

I thought it was related to what Michonne said to him when they got away from the herd... saying that he should smile because they made it out.

That's the first thing that came to my mind, anyway.

I also thought the numbers is what got him all excited but the camera panned into the group so I wasn't sure.

            Some info on the premiere;

According to Deadline, Sunday's episode,"Rock In The Road," picked up 12 million viewers; 7.3 million of them were in the 18-49 demographic, giving the show a 5.7 rating. Viewership is up 13 percent compared to December 2016's mid-season finale.

Also note that these numbers are only preliminary. AMC will announce how the show performed with live/same-day figures and the three days after combined later this week.

An eighth season of The Walking Dead is on the way, scheduled to start in late 2017 with the show's 100th episode. Showrunner Scott Gimple is coming back for the new season.

I love the way this show has evolved and how this season has had a lot of territorial/war themes going on.

My guess is he sees Gabriel.
I am guessing Gabriel went there to make friends with the supplies.

That is why Rick and his crew went there.

Rick saw all those women and smiled because he knew that he was getting laid for sure.

I think he was smiling looking at the soldiers that he could recruit to help kill Neagan.

So we went from Alexandria, to the Saviors, the Hilltop, the kingdom, the all-Eve clan, and now the garbage people? They look like they're all starving and what they want is guns! LOL.

I guess its the numbers is what got Rick smiling.

Not happy what they turned Carol and Morgan into.

Yea I'm not too thrilled about what their characters evolved into either.

At least Darryl has a crossbow again heh.

Don't mind Morgan or Carol. I think that world needs them actually. The garbage folks though, something is off. Jadis to me is not to be trusted in the end.

There's an air of serious mental instability to them all. Their verbal cadence is strange, and it's cultural with them because they're all acting & talking alike.

The Scavengers are definitely odd, Jadis is a strange leader for sure. I see in the preview for next week JDM/Negan is back again, it's been a few eps without him so that's a good thing.
